Home team rules means treat this board like an AFL Team Board. The natives of this board are enthusiasts of mysteries and the paranormal. Therefore, respect the nature of the board and do not flame them personally or post merely to ridicule.

Your own Experience - post in this thread if you've seen a ghost, or experienced any sort of paranormal occurrence :)

All are welcome. Debate and disagreement is fine and encouraged....as long as it's done sincerely and is not directed at posters. Debate the topic itself only.

Doesn't matter if you're arguing for or against a topic, do not post anything ad hominem in the threads otherwise you will be subject to a one-day threadban, followed by longer threadbans for repeat offenses, and possibly further action.

No one who visits any message board on the WWW wants to read pages of childish personal attacks back and forth between opposing sides. Think of others then by not littering threads and the board with that, ruining the enjoyment/education of others. Allow the board to be itself.

Do not publicly call out posters asking for them to be modded. Any issues you have, report the post and let the mod handle it, let the mod decide if the post warrants moderation or not. And, as a post reporter, move on once a decision is made.

* If you would like moderator decisions clarified or explained please contact the mods of the board by PM. Complaining in open threads isn't the way to go, and might see you lose access/Infracted

* The moderators aren't robots and don't necessarily read every post. If you see something that you take offence with or is a breach of the forum rules - use the report post button and someone will attend to it.

In addition to this, please note that all posters must adhere to the rules outlined by the BigFooty Commandments

It is your responsibility to know and abide by these rules. There is no excuse for not doing so.

Seems these rules are falling on deaf ears and we are quite lenient here and like to let the board flow but slowly these rules are being ignored so please update yourself with them especially new posters to the board.

Update: The rules posted by grizzlym still stand. A clarification of this point:

If you would like moderator decisions (including post edits/deletions) clarified or explained please contact the mods of the board. Complaining in open threads isn't the way to go, and might see you lose access/Infracted

Use the chain of command. Raise the junior mod (me) first via PM, then add the senior mod (Chism) to the conversation if needed.

Furthermore (more words of advice rather than hard and fast rules):

* Conspiracy threads. Some people claim that every plane crash/shooting/car accident is a hoax. We're not keen on a thread for each incident! Only post a thread if an alternative theory has gained significant traction. If in doubt, shoot us a PM!

* YouTube videos. These can be a great (or dubious) way of conveying information. However many of us don't have the time or attention span to watch hour long videos. Try to post short videos and on topic. If you're going to post a long video, it's useful to either provide a summary of the key points or time-stamp the relevant parts. Don't complain if people can't be bothered watching it!
