Yeah that's about it. These brain injuries are no joke and while Maynard likely didn't mean to bash him, that's what he did.
You can say "used to be a man's game" etc and I miss some of the biff but it's better with less guys beaten stupid.
Maynards holiday will be in aid of a good cause, and while it was a chance occurence its likely in other more voluntary situations players will hold back eg Van Rooyen's wayward elbow: didn't hurt McStay much but a less reticent player and a more dangerous speed could have been nasty.
Id like to see Gelong back in finals but neither of us are getting that.
Also Maynard doesn't run away like Rhys Jones did.
...and them Melbourne won and MG got a BJ off Scarlet Johansen and everyone clapped.
Hoping one of these turns out true for you mate
Viney failed to make an impression, his challenge came way after the actual clash and then Jack spent the rest of the game hovering just off the ball looking anxious while Maynard barged his rough head into every pack. I'm glad he had a good game because it's likely his last one for the year.

Young Ryan from Collingwood was severely concussed in his first game after copping a knee to the head from Rayner's marking attempt. He took no further part in the game. Rayner chose to fly and place his knee into the back of his head. He has a duty of care. The AFL is a sick joke.
Deliberate elbows and punches get a week or reprimand.
