I agree that the Brendon Bolton Experiment looks like it has failed. But realistically who would the Board appoint now?
If there was to be an appointment what would be the point appointing an outsider to coach until the end of the season given that the senior coach is only one among others?
And if the Board changes the senior coach now what it is really saying is that it has lost confidence in the coaching philosophy of the entire senior panel.
But then again, maybe the Board needs to do something to send a potent message to the AFL, being WE NEED HELP

Doesn't look good for him going into next year, but has another 14 games or so to turn it all around.

We've failed numerous times by sacking coaches. The message from the club has always been one of unity and backing the coach. Maybe now is the time to actually roll the dice and stick with him. Give him more time to turn it around before making a premature decision that mirrors our previous mistakes..

It's seriously tough to deal with but we can't do the same old thing and expect different results. That's insanity.

assassination of your club's coach, chief.....
Seriously? It’s a discussion thread

If you think that he is the right person for the job then that’s fine, but if you can’t even voice a negative opinion then what is the point of this forum?

dunno - you mean we don't have a brendon bolton thread anywhere? what sort of input do you think this one will get after a 15 goal loss? any guesses?

Nah. We need a circuit breaker. Then again, if Bolton is sacked who replaces him and on what terms?
Difficult.

Damn, in 7 games we were in very winnable positions and now we're having threads like this.

A bit of luck and some polish and we wouldn't be having this conversation.
Polish is in the home wares' aisle next to the detergents. Can't find any luck though.

So
I'd have thought half the posters here atm would consider themselves worthy candidates to coach the carlton football club.........
Oh stop being a glib biatch.
Maybe we, but more importantly the players, need a circuit breaker.
Then again, it’s very early in the season.
It’s still really painful to watch this.
At a minimum we must fight to retain our culture, position, history and well earned prestige.
Maybe our target should now be the AFL.
We need help.
They gave it to Brisbane, Gold Coast, GWS.
If they refuse, bring on the revolution.

what exactly is our culture do you think? our position whatever that might mean is gone - we have none - our history can't be changed although along with the magnificence is the taint - our prestige was not always well earned..........your delusion isn't helping your current outlook........biatch........

Too early for this thread and I don't think we're entitled to have a crack at the coach.

We need to accept that our list is young and it needs time to develop. Simple as that.

The original Bolton thread started in 2015 was locked in April. People were having a crack at him from early last year at least.

I am putting me up for the job.

Ok fellas here is the line in the sand.
You better win it for me and all your grandmas smoke cigars. Your all soft. Just do something. Ok thats training for this week.

Yep I got it down pat

We have a history of being inpatient with inexperience coaches and sacking them too early and bring in experience coaches and going backwards.

Brittain to Pagan
Ratten to Malthouse

I really hope we learn from our history and look at what the Tigers and Pies have done. Stick with Bolton and go hard to get him the best assistance coaches going around.

What is a circuit breaker?

Sack the coach and next week we still go in with 14 players < 50 games and a midfield with a median age of 20. And we expect them to win games?

I'm honestly shocked that we even have one win. Everything has to go right and the other team has to absolutely suck for us to win. And I can't see where we get another win because we lose the inside 50 count every week and it's hard to win from that position.

It's a tough ****ing league out there, tough guys.
