Brisbane Lions supporter displaying a PAMFC logo, seems legit.
It is actually - I'm one of the maligned non power supporting magpies supporters from pre "one-club". I followed the SANFL much more than the AFL. I didn't jump off when the power-magpies merger happened. I accepted the merger and now have an interest in the club as a whole succeeding and feel strongly that the PAFC heritage should be more respected than it currently is by the AFL.

I'm horrible at graphics design but ANZAC day would be the one time that I would allow for the bastardisation of the bars (as we would if it was our home top anyway).

If someone could do this better it would be great.

They aren't vertical stripes so it would once and for all show off the AFL's hypocrisy.

The club could get on the front foot when they announce it and get a veteran who played in the bars to remind the AFL that other clubs already have the same colours and since this isn't vertical stripes it isn't the same design. png_20220419_104453_0000.jpg

One can only assume by these quiet discussions that:
  • we've followed Wayne Jackson's advice ... a man that oozes passivity
  • the afl is drawing out the discussions until they judge that our supporters have lost the passion and won't be as supportive if the club's admin launches a second campaign after they once again give us a big fat no ... a fatter no

I hope that I am wrong but I reckon the club has been tricked.

the initial petition to wear the bars from 2020 onwards was an absolute pain in the arse for the club. they couldn't believe we were making noise about another issue so soon. everything they've said and done has been PR to calm us down.

2015 and 2017 are the only 2 times we've hosted the Collingwoord in 9 seasons @ adelaide oval

Our 2021 home game was moved to Marvel because of covid**

They have played the crows here 6 times in 9 seasons

So Melbournes indigenous jumper has an eagle on it, I assume because it’s native to the area. Time to get working on our jumper with a magpie on it.
The AFL doesn't have an issue with that as there was no VFL club with an eagle in their logo or nicknamed the Eagles.
