It looks like the 2023 PB guernsey Jonas wore to the press today will have a bigger MG logo thats red compared to the 2021 edition guernsey with the smaller white MG logo.
Wish we could have both the MG and AFL logo in white for the guernsey keeping in line with the black & white heritage colours
Hope they can fix it for next year... Or just having MG logo in white
Blurry pic below of the 2023 edition vs the 2021 edition MG logo in white

Heard that those 2021 prison bar jumpers they were selling for $500 are sold out. There are 80 of them - each selling for $500.

That's a lazy $40k made in just a couple of days.

o_O
80 player issued guernseys from the 2021 Showdown. So every player on the list was issued two for the game.

Heard an equipment steward for (I think) the Carlton-Geelong game on the weekend tell BT that they have three match ready guernseys for every player for each game.

So it doesn't surprise me that Port had that many in readiness for the showdown in 2021 hoping that approval would be given for them to wear them in the game and knowing they could sell them after the match.

But IMHO the right thing to do would have been to offer those jumpers up at a reasonable price (maybe a small premium over the retail price) via a random draw to 2023 members who were lined up for hours last week to get a prison bar jumper but missed out.

Selling them for $500/pop is just profiteering from the lack of supply to match the huge demand.

Risky week to post as a crows fan, but wanted to say I’m glad your blokes get to wear the bars this weekend. As you should be able to on a regular basis.

It’s a shame for the sport of Australian Football that the league is currently run as an extended VFL, not a truly national competition. The ridiculous fight over a guernsey you should be able to wear is just one symptom of this.

Obviously it’s game on between our two sides this week, but outside of a local rivalry I really believe both clubs would be best served to realise that it’s not the mob down the road that’s the real enemy - It’s the mob across the border that puts rules and systems in place to keep both of our clubs down. It suits VFL House to have us squabbling and distracted from the real things that negatively impact our best interests and ultimately our chances of winning flags, and both clubs would be better off if there was a united front off field.

May the best team win this weekend.

Who is selling @ $500 and if so, why are people buying it when there is more on the way?
The club is selling them.

It's a mystery sale, you pay $500 and go in the draw for a player issue guernsey from 2021.
