NEVER request we wear these again while Ken is coach and Jonas is captain.

It wasn't just that we lost to a team that man for man is worse than what we should be.

It's that we were also outworked and out organised by a team that man for man isn't as good as us

Effing disgraceful. I hate that I care so much about the PBs.

This is a common argument when we lose wearing the bars and even when we're playing like garbage while petitioning to wear the bars.

It's the club's guernsey. We should wear it every week, at our best and at our worst.

If you want to argue that this bunch aren't fit to wear a Port Adelaide guernsey, I'd completely agree. But I disagree that we ever put wearing out guernsey on the backburner for some future time where we're playing better.

Has anyone checked whether Collingwood spontaneously combusted when we ran out on the field?

Wearing the guernsey is about much more than just the game of footy. Yeah we played poorly and lost in it. Not ideal, we are all pissed off about it. But let’s not kid ourselves and think they didn’t lose unlosable games, get belted in finals, lose to Woodville and south, have many ordinary moments in the old days in the pbs too.. It’s part of the sport.. The two previous times we wore it we won by 80 odd in a time shortened game and played probably the best footy we have ever played in the afl outside 04 in the 2014 elim v Richmond.

We must continue the fight to wear it as often as we can. Win, lose or draw, wearing the pbs is about much more than just that one off game of footy..

The guernsey and the players currently wearing is separate argument. These guys were lucky enough to wear it but did it no service.

Regardless of who wears it today or next week it’s still Port and that’s wat matters and that’s what the passionate lunatic supporters like me are fighting for.

The players and officials might not but supporters are.

It's actually an argument FOR the person bars.

Like the Creed and the "no hopers" quote they are standards for modern Port to be held to.

Keep our standards and piss off those who can't live up to them.

People acting like we never ever lost a game in the PB’s are helping the argument for those who don’t want us to wear it. They are also probably the type who can’t handle being teased when we lose.

It’s the club Guernsey, it should be worn regularly. FULL STOP.
WHEN WE ARE GREAT, WHEN WE ARE SHIT! WHENEVER.

If it doesn’t mean anything to the players, it’s BECAUSE we haven’t worn it regularly.

It's time to lock-up the Prison Bar jumper

It's time to put the Prison Bars in the Port Adelaide museum permanently. Now is the time to wear the black V jumper in the SANFL before our club looks totally stupid. After all, we are the AFL Reserves playing in the SANFL.

The players that wore this Prison Bar jumper would not be liking in what they are seeing in both the AFL Showdowns and what we are now seeing in the SANFL.

Also it's time the club pushed hard to have us play in the VFL comp or push harder to have an AFL Reserves Competition for clubs outside of Victoria. The 8 SANFL clubs don't want us there and that is a problem too.

I've had a gutful of all this, and it's time we moved forward.

What the club should do, is drop the PB's in the Showdowns and wear the jumper that we wore against the Lions in the 2004 Grand Final. That would generate a few dollars for the club. We should wear this jumper every time we play the Lions.

You think the club should move forward by bringing back a guernsey we wore 20 years ago to wear against the team we won our one and only AFL flag against? Like we are St Kilda and one flag is all we have to reference? And of all the pictures you can use to make your post, you chose the one with the Cornes boys?

You should really stick to the photos because every time you move to the keyboard you do nothing but produce absolute horseshit.

This opinion is wildly against what the vast majority of Port supporters, players and legends want.

The Prison Bars guernsey is our guernsey and have been for 120 years. We've had crushing defeats in them before and we'll have crushing defeats in them again.

The financial argument is a bizarre one, the Prison Bars are consistently the best selling piece of merchandise in the AFL when we're allowed to buy them.
