Hopefully we keep up our form and accuracy at the Gabba and make our opportunities on goal count.

Don't want to see Rich getting any easy long range pings at goal as he is deadly. He needs close attention at all times.

Seems like MOC will again get the job on Cameron based on the CS presser. Hopefully he can contain him but it does depend on how hot the ball comes in and that's where our midfield need to be "on" from the getgo. Menegola particularly, needs to impose himself early in the match.

We have a great chance of making it to the big dance.

Just ****ing get it done this time.

There are may reasons for it to be done and the sun will come up tomorrow regardless of the outcome.

That said...

Just ****ing get it done this time.

Please turn up, Geelong. For the love of God, just get this one before it's too late for many of our players.

It's unlikely that anybody beats the disgusting game-ruining Tigers next week, but this team deserves a Grand Final appearance.

Whoever wins this one, I hope it's an easy game that's over by half-time. The only thing in Geelong/Brisbane's favour is that Richmond had a 4-qtr slog in the wet last night. With interstate travel added into the mix, that might just be enough to go all the way.

Play the game as it should be played, boys. Let's go!

Port will be thinking about Boak out on the full from 40 out DIF ..and the young bow and arrow boys dropped mark...and silly fumbles and deliberate oob When you are playing a mature finals proven side..one can not fluff chances. Richmond is the side atm ..but beatable if you do everything right. They don’t have to...

Brisbane and Geelong to my mind will have to overcome deficiencies to knock them off ... but tonight is about sorting who can take a deep breath , buckle up and have a free shot. For Geelong ..there is a group of players that have gone to this game several times before..without going further... and whether Rich looks a tough hard to beat team or not .. getting to a GF would be a heck of tick this year. ... and Brisbane like us in 04 ..may well be the next real big thing ..but that doesn't mean this is their time ..not yet

PF has been such a hump ..who knows what getting to a GF would do for us next week... but I have a fair idea what not getting to one will be like. The coach says pressure is a privilege well ..I hope that they enjoy that privilege and rise to it. Pressure is heat ...its a furnace.. and it casts champions and tormented greats...

Geelong greats discuss missed opportunities and the chance at greatness for the Cats
Garry Hocking is one of the greatest players in Geelong Football Club history, but he says individual honours are “irrelevant” without a premiership as the Cats prepare for another preliminary final.

I was at the Pies game and it was a dominant display, hope our boys bring what they need to match yours. This has the potential to be an all time tie, may the best team win!
You won't allow us the time and space to be so dominant. For our sake I hope we can handle the pressure. Whoever wins, for the love of God just beat Richmond!

enjoyed the whole post Turbo, but the quoted resonated most; we've had plenty of experience in not jumping the PF hurdle in recent years, taking that last leap into the unknown would be very exciting - stumble; well ...

Garry Hocking close to the best midfielder I've seen in the hoops; along with the Great Man himself living proof that individuals don't win you (Danger)flags - gotta be 22 contributors.

Have been quietly confident alll week, but come the day I'm suddenly very nervous.

half of the finals have been 50/50’s to predict this season and the years since equalization and equality measures flattened out the strength of top teams.

It goes to Show the gap between 1-8th is minimal and anyone can win on their day now.

we play our best footy we can win this one.

Got to admire the character of the coaching and playing group to continually back up year after year despite finals failures/embarrassments of past years. We get back up and step up to plate when it would be easier to half arse it. I’m hoping that character stands out tonight and they get it done. Go cats!

I wish we were the envy of the competition and being called scum. Win next 2 then it could happen again. Hoping so!
My dislike of the tigers is not due to envy, I generally don’t like how the club is run and the supporters make it even more unbearable

No envy here...we have been on top before and the class of both the club and supporters was beyond better than what the tigers have shown over the last few years
