Re: Brownlow Medal 2010

Lenny Hayes, St Kilda, has been charged with a first offence for making negligent contact with an umpire (Jason Armstrong) during the third quarter of the round 20 match between St Kilda and North Melbourne, played at Etihad Stadium on Sunday August 15, 2010.

In summary, he can accept a $900 sanction with an early plea.

A first offence for making negligent contact with an umpire is a $1200 sanction. An early plea reduces the sanction by 25 per cent to a $900 sanction.

Obviously as far as an umpires thoughts go, could this affect Lennys chances of getting votes on the weekend and maybe for remainder of the season?
Did anyone see the incident?

Re: Brownlow Medal 2010

Where's LeCras?

I have him two behind Priddis, one good game and he's equal fave for mine. $6+ is awesome.

Gia would have to poll extremely well to get 14, Boyd and Cooney way out ahead. My top three at each club is below. Boak still huge value IMO - stay away from port in multis, but the $11 on offer is worth something straight out.

Adel - Thompson 11, Douglas 9, Johncock 6
Bris - Brown 10, Rischitelli 8, Black 6
Carl - Judd 22, Murphy 9, Gibbs 7
Coll - Swan 21, Pendlebury 19, Didak 14
Ess - Watson 13, Winderlich 7, Hille 6
Frem - Barlow 14, Sandilands 12, Mundy 9
Geel - Selwood 20, Ablett 20, Bartel 14
Haw - Hodge 19, Mitchell 12, Rioli 9
Melb - Sylvia 9, Moloney 8, Davey 7
NM - Harvey 14, Swallow 12, Wells 6
Port - Boak 9, Pearce 8, Cassisi 7
Rich - Deledio 7, Tuck 7, Riewoldt 6
StK - Hayes 17, Montagna 16, Goddard 13
Syd - Goodes 12, Bolton 10, Jack 7
WB - Boyd 17, Cooney 14, Giansiracusa 11
WCE - Priddis 9, LeCras 7, Naitanui 5

 Imagine bigfooty if Judd actually won it :p

I really like this count, nice spread of votes across the board. :thumbsu:

I have a feeling there will be a lot of upsets this season, looking at the above count it suggests the only certainties are Judd, Watson and Hodge. For the remaining teams only 3 votes or less separates 1st and 2nd. I think we were quite lucky last year picking around 13/16 team winners, i for one will be treading carefully with my multis and keeping them quite conservative by covering a wide range of players. But no doubt this year has great value....... if you pick right.

love your work BK

Re: Brownlow Medal 2010

Nothing in the Hayes incident.

The weak pricks even had the cheek to fine him for it...pathetic.
Very similar to the Black 'incident' last year.

Unnecessary, and seems to only happen to the good guys.

Re: Brownlow Medal 2010

What are peoples thoughts on Judd. He is going to be <1.05 to win Carltons votes but would have to be a moral.. only thing is look at Swan and Mitchell from last year. Is it worth chucking him in now to add 5% to every bet??

Adel - Thompson 11, Douglas 9, Johncock 6
Bris - Brown 10, Rischitelli 8, Black 6
Carl - Judd 22, Murphy 9, Gibbs 7
Coll - Swan 21, Pendlebury 19, Didak 14

StK - Hayes 17, Montagna 16, Goddard 13
Syd - Goodes 12, Bolton 10, Jack 7
WB - Boyd 17, Cooney 14, Giansiracusa 11
WCE - Priddis 9, LeCras 7, Naitanui 5

The teams highlighted are the ones Im interested in heading into the last 2 rounds.

My potential anchors:
Watson, Thompson, Goodes (you have them all leading)

My value players:
Hayes, Selwood, Barlow, Pendles (of which you have all all leading, with Selwood tieing with Ablett, the exception being Pendles who I reckon can outpoll Swan)

Multi the anchors into varous combinations of my value roughies and if the actual count is anything like yours it shall be quite a profitable night :p

Re: Brownlow Medal 2010

Can anyone offer up some thoughts on Adam Selwood to get most votes for WC?

I've got him tracking at 5 currently - equal with Priddis, but at $16 i'm really liking Selwood!

Could be the big multiplier of 2010...thoughts?

I have him leading. I've been watching this one all year

Re: Brownlow Medal 2010

I only have selwood on two, and only three real games where he might have a chance to poll, rounds 2, 8 and 16. I wouldn't be putting any money on him, nor will be touching West Coast unless LeCras puts in a 6+ goal game in the last two games and in a WC win. I think Priddis has it locked, but his odds are way too short to worry about them.

Have him polling/ chance of polling in rounds 2 4 8 16. In a year where they won only 4 games and he played well in 3 of those and bog or 2nd bog in a close loss he is a BIG chance. 5-7 votes will win the eagles count, and could quite easily be there

Re: Brownlow Medal 2010

They're not opening team multis until the end of round 22. It's possible that they're not not offering any Brownlow multi's period until then, except when picking the winner outright.

I think he's talking about having a Brownlow placing into Premiership winner multi. At the moment you can do a Brownlow winner only, I've tried also.

theres no way Selwood has a BOG in any of those games, i have given him the 1 vote in the first 4 you've listed.. i went Lecras, Priddis, Embley in the bombers win
I have Priddis on 8, and really cant see anyone beating him, that said, i only have him polling in 3 games, so he could easily miss some votes and struggle to get them back..
what rounds have people got Priddis polling in?

Re: Brownlow Medal 2010

For sure. He's still very good value.

I'm really surprised Selwood is still at $26. He is way overs.

Carlton this week and then WC at home the following week + Ablett will suffer from winning the medal last year.
I think that you are spot on with this call. I went thru some analysis late last night and felt that he is clearly overs. If Ablett suffers the year after winning factor then Selwood could be doing a Pendles at Geel and snagging a fair few votes.
I'll get more on him this week into Coll and Geel.
If Swan and Gazza aren't hot with the votes then any of Judd, Hayes, Pendlebury or Selwood can win as they all potentially tick the right boxes.

Re: Brownlow Medal 2010

I dont care if any of the bolded can win ... Im just hoping at least one wins their most votes for team!

Fairly confident Hayes has St Kilda in the bag. The other two will be very close and definitely worth the risk of putting in various multis.

Priddis is West Coasts Kane Cornes. Underpolls every year because he just gets cheap possessions. He is stupidly short and selwood is massive overs. Priddis was a big fav last year too, and I got Le Cras at $6.50. My advice is dont put priddis in a a 'lock'.

id love to know how you have Green so high, Goodes only on 10 ? and also Harvey seems quite low.. i dont think you have taken into consideration players polling history, just my thoughts

Again, name the games he was BOG or 2.

Priddis may be WCE Kornes in polling, but hes been our main clearance player for the year. Youll be surprise how much Priddis wins his own ball.

Its not like as if ASelwood is more 'classier'. He hacks the ball as much.

Priddis to poll more then ASelwood comfortably.

Done on purpose. just tryed to pick the best players with no bias. I wouldnt tip against goodes winning sydneys votes, its just the way i did it
