'BT' and Darcy: The Worst Commentary Team in History?

The amount of times he gets players, scores , teams wrong is unbelievable.

Last night when a Hawthorn player had a shot at goal. He said player (Dont remember who it was) could become the 7th individual goal kicker for Geelong.

Me too, there has got to be a simple way to do it without the need for a Masters Degree in Electronic Communication Devices
I did it Friday and was great listening to MMM instead of Bruce and Dennis. All I did was listen to the commentary through the AFL app on my iPhone. There is about a minute delay between the App and TV and, so all I had to do was pause the TV (through foxtel IQ) and wait for the radio to catch up.. Probably took about 30 secs to get it right, but once I did it was perfect. Will be how I watch the footy from now on... Goodbye Channel 7 commentators.

Don't worry he did better in the same game.

Early in the last quarter, after Murdoch kicked our first goal for the quarter, Stringer kicked the next. Was called Murdoch by Taylor until the ball went through. Now given that Murdoch wears #21 and Stringer #41 you'd think you could tell them apart. Plus of course Murdoch is a left-footer and Stringer a right-footer (and they kicked their goals on their preferred feet too).

The man is an assclown. Even watching the replay is rendered unenjoyable due to him.

or do it the old-fashioned way like i always do and just have the radio/stereo positioned next to the tv - mute the tv while the game is on and only unmute it when there is a player being interviewed during the pre or post game stuff :thumbsu:

Maybe cause Darcy is so dull I just don't notice him. Can't say he really annoys me.

BT on the other hand is aggressively bad. He ensures that the call is all about him. Incorporates his terrible "Bt'isms" I guess you could call them..."Foot candy"? - "OH boy oh boy wow wee" - calling Ben McEvoy "big boy" throughout the entire game. People just want to watch the game and have it called in a professional unbaised manner. And of course he can't even call the right names half the time.

Some poeple must respond positively to his novelty slapstick type calls - but I certainly haven't met them.

Starting to really grind my gears how they just make up what players are "saying."

BT- "And player X is saying look at me it's my milestone I can do what I want!"

Darcy- "Player X is saying I'm going to give 100% at this contest and let my team mates and the competition know that I am elite"

Note to Darcy. Buddy has kicked goals on his right foot, although if you watched on Saturday night he apparently saw it happen for the first time (twice in one game).
Also, interesting they focused on all the dubious frees Hawthorn got and the reaction of Mr Scott in the box as though it was justified to behave that way when in reality the frees were there and the coach was behaving like he does week-in week-out like a sook. Meanwhile Alistair Clarkson was observed getting hot under the collar according to Darcy but we never saw it?

i enjoy BT as a commentator, and really feel sorry for him. he does a bulk of the commentating because unlike friday night he cant take in turns at commentating he just does all of it. Darcy is just like a special comments commentator coming in the voice his view every once in a while, which makes having Richo there kind of redundant. BT needs somebody to help him instead of waiting for Darcy to say something so he can have a breather.

Better option is to just get Taylor to stop breathing.
