Who's Calile?
Probably not the best comparison due to ages, experience and the general disrespect in the AFL public given towards LRT.
He looks ungainly and makes some skill errors but one on one he is a genuinely very good defender. When he is disposing of the ball under pressure he often does well, but when he has a lot of time to think about it he can mess up. When he plays on instinct he is fine. If those who bag him really watched him and observe how many one on one contests he either wins or breaks even in, they would not give him such a hard time. LRT is crucial to our structure and a vastly improved player.
Regarding Carlisle he is a very good defender, i really rate him. Only 23 yo and already a very good player. I think a better poll would be Carlisle vs Tayte Pears or Lachie Hansen or Harry Taylor. From the other side, LRT vs Goose Maguire or Troy Chaplin would be interesting.
