Was walking around the shopping centre with a mate looking for a new game to buyon my xbox that I got for christmas as I had, had nough of Forza 2.

He suggested Call of Duty 4 and I was like meh too much money to spend on a game that I have never heard of, everywhere we went it was 104 bucks, the last shop we went into was Harvey Norman where it was 109, there was one copy "brand new" for 86 dollar, so im like bargin, better get it before someone else gets the last cheap copy, took it to the counter and it scanned for 76, I was like Bargin!

Finished the game tonight and bloody loved it, next up im going to do it on a harder difficulty
What a great game, I bloody love it, thelast few missions were unreal, and killing that bloke at the end when ur mate slides the gun ova to you was awesome

What are your thoughts on the game?

yeah awesome game. i was fortunate enough to get it at K-Mart for $79 before Christmas.

I loved it, got it for $80 or something from Dick Smith just before New Years.

10x better online though.

And KP, there was no issue fitting it on the 360 disc. Everyone knows CoD4 is an online game rather than a single player game, thus they focus more on the online than the single player campaign.

CoD4 is only ~6.4GB on PC - there is no reason it would be an extra 1.6GB for the 360, you are so full of it.

Good fun, but in order to fit it onto a single disc for 360 they severely shortened the campaign, which is a bummer.

Laughable, everything is anti 360 with you karl. It gets pretty dull. Please state a source for that statement or are you just making stuff up...again

Great game, awesome campaign, albiet a bit short. Hardcore difficulty is absolutely murderous tho.

The multiplayer is quite fun, and is accessable to even average players. Its a game you can slowly level up in without getting first place all the time, and it isn't difficult to get kills, requiring only a few hits. Getting a bit bored of it now tho after about 5 weeks or so and have gone back to halo 3.

I have it on PS3 and i love it, online is heaps of fun even though i get my ass kicked most of the time. KP could u please just shutup i agree with Mancey everything u say is just anti 360. You make up crap to try and prove why the ps3 is better time and time again. Its getting way old

I love how Karl still spouts Sony propaganda that was disproven years ago.

The Xbox360 SDK makes it easy for developers to make their data streaming flexible depending on whether the user has the hard drive.

Hell even early launch window 360 titles such as Oblivion use the hard drive to cache data.

If you want to continually fabricate stuff and not get called out on it Karl, you best head back to Sony Defence Force. Your bullshit won't fly here.

How is that possible when a hard drive doesn't come standard on 360? Not saying it's not true, it's just the first I've heard of it.

And some of you 360 fanboys need to stop getting all offended every time I criticise the machine, I own one too remember - I'm hardly a fanboy, just pointing out some of it's flaws so I can show some balance between the non-stop 360 love I see here.

Awesome game but as others have said, a bit short. I finished it in two sittings, admittedly on easy.

Favourite level is the bomber one, where you are raining hell on the villages. The sniper one where you go back in time is amazing too.

Online is ok, although I absolutely HATE how more experienced players get better guns/powerups/options. So annoying trying to kill level 55's when they have a laser scoped M4 and you have some spit wads and a straw.

Also stupid how I cant play certain types of games because I am new. **** off! I am a specialist at CTF type games, thats what I like to play, let me ****en play it. Now.

Hey i've got a ps3 and love it, just sick of you turning every conversation into why the ps3 is better than an xbox 360. If you aren't a ps3 fanboy then i dont no what the hell is

No ones getting offended about your comments Karl. I think they're just pointing out, that statements like the ones you made in this thread, are a complete fabrication designed solely to slag off the 360.

By all means argue your point, but don't make stuff up. As brown dog said, people know too much about gaming for stuff like that to fly on here.

How to clear the HDD cache. Wait, some files are stored on the HDD for faster access? COULDN'T BE. Just because some 360s dont come with the HDD doesn't mean it cant utilise it at all.

I will be happy when the day when full files are stored on the HDD (perhaps for big games, one disc to play, one to load files) but it might be a while as MS said it wont happen.

I'm still not convinced that games such as AC and COD4 aren't being reduced in length in order to accomodate the 360's weakness of having only 8gig of space to work with.

Unless game companies are just being lazy? Either way, it's a massive limitation to what could have (and should have) been a great game.

MS could always use a hi-def disc as standard instead though? That way, for big games they could just have, you know, one disc.

It just sh*ts me that we seem to be getting shorter and shorter games on 360 and I'm positively terrified of what is going to happen to Grand Theft Auto 4 as apparently there are no load times meaning it won't be cvoming on multiple discs either. I want to buy the 360 version for the downloadable content, but I'm pissed off that we're going to end up with half the game Rockstar had in mind.

You are just making a massive leap of logic just to suit your argument.

What takes up the most space is high resolution textures, videos etc...

The length of the campaign would not be influenced by this. If massive games like Oblivion etc can exist on one disc, a bigger COD4 campaign could too.

Much more logical reasons for a short campaign would include production costs or publisher pressure to release the game in a particular timeframe.

If you want to pass yourself off as an authority on videogames Karl, you are simply going to have to start using facts and reason, rather than fabrications or fanboyish leaps of faith. You are embarrassing yourself.

You even went as far in this thread to say that you are simply trying to provide balance because this board seems to have a high proportion of Xbox 360 users... are you for real? You are cheering for the PS3 as if it is your football team, even other PS3 owners are starting to call you out on it.

You are cementing a reputation as the parrot/Gunnar Longshanks of the Gaming board.

TheBrownDog is exactly right. Textures and such take up gigs and gigs of data, if you made ten more levels with shared textures it wouldn't take up too much room.

But KP, it looks like you are making up excuses to hate the 360. You believe the size is limiting games? Assassins Creeds was the only game that I heard the devs had problems fitting on the disc, but that seemed to solve.

It is quite funny how you make a radical claim about the 360 without any evidence to back it up.

Not to mention that the Xbox360 version of AC has a smoother frame rate. But if we were to suggest that that indicates problems with the PS3 hardware, KP would hit the roof, even though his COD4 Campaign size comment is equally as illogical and unfounded.

I just looked on a few torrent sites, the Xbox360 version of COD4 is approx 6gb in size.

So the developers had another 3.4gb to work with if needed.

Karl fails again.

Heh. I cant find the console version on torrent sites, but roughly how big is the PS3 version?
