Yes he did, and did well.
Shoulder injuries stopped his progress at Pie land

He would have been our number one ruckman at Collingwood - he is a natural - and uses his body well

There's no doubt he's been a handy pick up and is developing into a solid player. His kicking accuracy is good for a big man, and he plays with plenty of heart.

There's every chance there's still heaps of improvement left in him too.

I got nothing against the 2 players

Chris Bryan gives his all - and is a handy backup
And Fraser, in good form, still can damage sides with his running ability and reading of the play.

In saying that - Im over the moon with the pick up of Cameron Wood - who in time will be our number one ruckman.

He is one of the most disinterested, lazy footballers going around.

Cam Cloke is loving his time at Carlton. Plays with absolute passion and shows a bit of grunt which we have been missing.

Hopefully he stays injury free and continues his good form:thumbsu:

Completely agree. Just look at that post-match interview. The bloke is so happy atm.

Was great to see Clokey run to his brother and give him a bit of shit after travis gave away 50 meters on the weekend haha!

Cloke has been a good aquisition to our team. His ruck work is good enough. But what im am most impressed with is his marking and running to space to receive the ball. He is giving us an option up the ground. Big plus for us. Acklands day is gone.

I'm going to get shot down but ...
Look you cannot doubt the guys endevour or attitude but his football smarts and mobility, I have a big problem with. I think if he survives beyond this year, probably will, it will be to support Hampson, Kruezer, Aisake or Jacobs until they are ready to take the no.1 ruck spot.
Don't get me wrong, as I said gives his all but would be extremely suprised if he consolidated a spot in the side when we are top4.

Cloke has provided a very important role. He competes well at the centre bounce, and around the ground, and takes most of the ruck workload. Very competitive, concentrates well, and provides a physical presence. Well done Cam. Hopefully the shoulder problems can stay away. :)

How very appropriate! Had you said that Ackland's "days are gone", I would have said, did he have more than one?

Cloke has worked his arse off every game this year, his smarts are underrated, he is so often in the right place at the right time around the ground and often gets clear and in space due to his hard running. Often presenting to recieve off half back.

He's one to watch (when at the game) before he gets a possession, leads long and hard and gives an option around the ground. Works damn hard, gives 100% and definatly earns my respect.

Doesn't dominate center square ruck hit outs but competes hard, doesn't let his opponent direct the footy, makes you realise just how bad
Ackland really is.

:) Think back to the beginning of last year when Cloke was up and going (particularly that backhanded flick to Stevo against the Bummers), we looked ok in the ruck and were winning games. When Cloke went down with a shoulder, our ruck stocks dropped right away and we started getting towelled up out of the centre.

I see Cloke as important an addition as Judd and Stevo. He is the bash and crash ruckman that we need. He will only get better as the season goes on and will allow us to develop Kruezer, the Hammer and Aisake without having to resort to Hackland.:cool::cool:

Watch Cloke get stuck into White this weekend and give our midfield a pretty good ride.

Can you feel the giant stirring.
