So, i'm doing a bit of research into a family holiday on the ''Coral Coast" and have read up about Wedge Island and it all seems a bit too hard with there apparently being restrictions on where you can camp etc. no caravan parks for the public to hire a patch (as far as Google can tell me) and no alternative accommodation, but by all accounts it's an amazing place to go? 
So, as I'm sure is intended by that level of difficulty, I'm dissuaded from going.
Can anyone recommend another spot on the ''Coral Coast" (ie. within about 4 hours North of Perth) that has powered camping sites, good fishing, friendly locals and calm beaches (ie. not churning rip machines like Lancelin), for me to take the fam on a nice relaxing holiday? I've looked at Jurien Bay, anyone know if that is any good?
