Great work to all designers! My favourite so far has to be either Miami or San Diego, coincidentally both have the skyline design. Miami a bit more confrontational and San Diego very sleek.

it's fine though, like, he hasn't ripped my design entirely I guess. it's obviously "heavily inspired" though at a time when we're pushing for him to be original in what he does instead of just trying to re-do what other designs have already done, it's just very frustrating.

Hmm... Indeed yes there seems to be quite a bit of similarity between the designs, especially in a yet to be seen San Diego design.

Using a skyline on a uniform is nothing original, many teams have done it in the past and it works really well as a design element for a US-style guernsey. Nothing wrong with that at all.

The only issue here is how many elements are identical to that of my third guernsey from last season, especially having now seen the road design as well.

His road design is the clear offender. I won't post it of course, but craegus very kindly showed it to me. Basically my third kit from last season without the wordmark.

ANNOUNCEMENT

Within this poll thread and through private messages it has been brought to my attention that the San Diego Horizon design for this season has a very strong resemblance to the Miami Vice alternate uniform from last season.

I have spoken with both designers involved and have come to the decision that it be made known to everyone that there is a possibility that the designs are not original. However there is no proof that this is the case and it could be pure coincidence.

As such I am posting in here the similar uniform from last season as well as the San Diego Horizon away kit for all to see and make their own decision about this issue. I am also opening up the ability to change your vote if you do so choose having seen the potential stealing of a design.

This matter has now been resolved between the parties and I ask that no-one else makes accusations to the involved designer. Also I am still yet to decide if this issue will be mentioned each poll, or if it will be mentioned here alone, or possibly in the hub thread so that all voters are aware should they not see this poll. This decision will be made between now and the posting of the next poll. Again there is no need for discussion on this as it will be my decision using the available information given to me by the parties involved

Like if hypothetically someone with form for copying his fellow FJGDers among a storied history of identity borrowing, got hypothetically caught copying AGAIN, you have the ability to change your vote if you like.

As above, please do not refer to this issue. I have handled it, and the involved parties have been spoken to and responded to me about the issue giving me their sides of the story. People are able to read my announcement post and make decisions from this and this alone. There is no need to refer to it again.

Any further mention of it by parties not involved and I will ask moderators to remove those specific posts related to the matter that are not needed.

Freight Train has never liked me and always looks to bring me down.....

Please leave it Grandsun, I know your side of the story, and you know what I have said to you. You are free to defend yourself, but the matter has been sorted, however keep pushing it by making comments like in your second post and I will 100% make changes to the agreed punishment. From now on I will handle any other mentions of it.

But to anyone who want to make comment this is the final point on this:

The designs are similar, there is no doubt. But there is NO proof beyond reasonable doubt (and that is required to prove anyone guilty, no matter what prior history they may have) that the design is plagiarised. I am not going to change my stance on that.

If you have issue with the design, then do not vote for it, that is your prerogative, but DO NOT make any more accusations in any Can-Am thread or I will make sure it is dealt with by higher authorities on this board.
