The country famous around the world for being Not America has an election soon. All 338 single-member seats in the House of Commons will be up for grabs via the first-past-the-post system. (The Senate is unelected appointees.)
Apparently it is to be the closest Canadian election in history with the centre-right Conservative Party led by Prime Minister Stephen Harper, centre-left New Democratic Party led by Opposition Leader Thomas Mulclair and centrist Liberal Party led by Justin Trudeau (son of the longest-serving Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau) all within 5% polling of each other at the moment.
