This may not be about Carlton in the media YET but could be sometime soon - what gives with Andrew Demigod playing media personality on Talking Footy and give his 'personal opinion' on all things footy - he is the CEO of the AFL, he can't be doing that!

I'm surprised this hasn't been questioned earlier.

A bit late on the rap music convo, but I couldn't skip posting this link. Good for a laff.

I ain't an old timer, but I my music tastes are along the same sentiments that Aph expressed so well earlier.

I only discovered uncyclopedia recently. If only I'd known about it years ago, I wouldn't have wasted so many hours on BF*...

http://www.carltonfc.com.au/news/2013-09-23/yarran-to-tackle-afls-fastest

Yarran says he’s hopeful but not confident of repeating Fevola’s feat, and admits he isn’t doing any “special” preparation ahead of the big race.

“I’m basically going to wing it and see how I go,” Yarran said. “My plan is to go out there and put my foot down and hope for a win, but there are a lot of quick fellas out there, so I’m going to have my work cut out.”

Oh Yaz.

CARLTON
Tom Temay
After being drafted last year, Tom Temay didn't get a chance to make his senior debut for the Blues this season. But the midfielder/defender could be able to step up next season and have an immediate impact. Temay is a smart player with good skills and a terrific endurance base. He's also competitive, and capable of shutting down a small forward as well as pushing further up the ground. Had some strong performances for the Northern Blues in the VFL after an early quad complaint. - Callum Twomey

Nice to finally have something written up about Temay. :thumbsu:

Waiting for Collingwood (sounded annoyed)

Thommo is very versatile - play wing, on ball & give us leg speed & finishes nicely
Expects Collingwood to get end of first round pick compo

Ankle: always risk but had a really really good look at it (3 specialists independently look at it) - pretty confident

Loved to get backmen but hard to get

Want defenders but hard to get/none available - looking @ draft for a couple of talls (2nd or 3rd pick)

Clubs ask us what we want - we say a really good mid, a KPF and KPD (most clubs in same position)

Sticks is sticking around as president for 150th year (looking @ succession plan for end of next year)

I was wondering why he didn't mention Docherty when talking about backmen?

Can't wait for the reaction if that is indeed the case. Will be classic! :D :thumbsu:

This might be why Collingwood are taking so long to respond to our offer. Will getting a pick 19 (or whatever it is) instead of pick 11 make them rethink letting Thommo go?
