Yes endurance would be the key IMO, and of course being able to replace him in defense, but I have no doubt besides those things, his power, skill and natural flair and competitiveness would him in good stead in the midfield.

Oh I misunderstood.

I think he has been mainly in a half back role behind centre generally doesn't float as far forward as rebounding half backs tend to.

Plays between the opposition goals and the center circle (apart from when he sneaks to the 50 for those goals)

I guess it's a mix between a half bsck flank and back pocket

I don't think he needs to, I just think he could if Mick decided to go that way.

But yeah, I'm more than happy for him to be providing crucial drive from the backline AND managing to kick goals Much like Yazza was doing in his breakout year at half back, though Touhy's cannon leg is something few possess.
