FFS. You've just been suspended for the THIRD time this year and you go and gallivanting around the city til 5am? The fight is just icing on the top. Not to mention we're now without another player for the rest of the year.

Thanks for just lowering your value significantly Robbo. Just swell.

How about we put things into perspective with the fact that Robbo has a broken eye socket. Frankly I couldn't give a toss about trade value when someone has ended up with facial fractures because of a group of stupid people late at night. Yes Robbo and Jeffy probably shouldn't have put themselves in this position. But I for one would rather offer support to an injured Carlton player than a scathing summary of a situation that no one fully understands yet.
I don't think we have to fully understand the situation all we need to know is a out of form/favour player and a player who has been suspended 3 times in 6 months broke club policies and have damaged the clubs image as well as ruling themselves out of what they are paid to do, play for the club.

Oh no! Let's trade him for doing literally nothing wrong.

Carlton player Mitch Robinson will miss 3-4 weeks after scans revealed he has suffered a fractured eye socket.

The injury was sustained in the early hours of Sunday morning, following an altercation in the city, when Robinson was with teammate Jeff Garlett.

Neither Robinson or Garlett have been charged over the incident and the Club’s primary concern is the welfare of both players.

However, Robinson and Garlett breached the Club’s code of conduct and both players have been sanctioned. Robinson, who is unavailable to play due to injury, has been fined $5,000 while Garlett was withdrawn from this weeks’ selection considerations and fined $2,500.

GM – Football Operations Andrew McKay says Carlton players are expected to adhere to high standards.

“It’s disappointing it has come to light that both players were out in the early hours of Sunday morning – had they not put themselves in that position then this incident could have been avoided,” McKay said.

“It should serve as a warning to all our players that they need to take responsibility for their behaviour and the situations they put themselves in. As professional athletes we expect them to lead by example.”

“This type of behaviour will not be tolerated at our football club.”

If that doesn't spell the end for both of them then I don't know what will.

Taking 4 days to tell the club and only coming clean because the media found out?

Not to mention he's currently suspended but was out until 5am.

Hardly bad. Slap him on the wrist with a fine.

Currently suspended. Who gives a toss? It's not as though he's sitting on the sidelines for knocking out a bloke.

He's no Fevola.

Sorry NBA but I just cannot agree.

We have to stop making excuses for these guys, we expect better from them especially when both of them are expecting to have a new contract put under their noses.

No Fevola ?? Well we let him go for way too long without any disciplinary actions and it cost us in the end, he was a mega-loser out of it too as it turned out.

When was the last time we read about a Swans, Cats or Hawks player doing something like this ?? That's right, they don't do it because they are far too professional & focussed on achieving success.

It's that exact attitude that let Fev get to where he got to.

Everything else cleaned up. Gif stands because it is hilarious and representative of most football fans. - Come at me - ODN

Oh please there would be plenty of stuff the media doesn't get wind of. Buddy says hello.

Except Fevola was involved in things far different. I'm willing to give Robbo the benefit of the doubt here, and believe that he was out with Jeffy celebrating his birthday, when they were set upon for no particular reason, and were subsequently forced to defend themselves. Not a great look being in a fight at 5am on a Sunday in the CBD, but not the worst thing that's ever happened.

There may be plenty of stuff the media doesn't get wind of and that's great for the persons concerned but the reality is, I'm only concerned with the players at Princes Park and what they get up to.

I'm relying on them to honour the faith & commitment the club has placed on them as well as the overall support & undying loyalty the supporters place upon them.

How many times did Fev end up with a fractured eye socket? Don't forget what happened at the music festival in the off season.

Robbo is a loose cannon.

Who cares? The bloke did stuff that was far worse than anything Robbo has done. Robbo is simply a bloke who is very defensive of his mates, and has a short fuse. Haven't heard much about him having alcohol or gambling problems like Fev did.

There were people at Carlton and on here that wanted Fevola to stay after the Brownlow antics, despite the sexual assault whispers, and the antics in general. Yet here we are wanting to hang a guy out to dry for being out late one time?

How on earth do you justify him getting his eye socket smashed in?

Forget Fev for a second.

It's not the culture we want at the club.

He should not have been out at 5am. Even so he doesn't deserve to cop a fractured eye socket.

I'd hardly say this is a culture thing. What else has the guy done? And before you mention BDO, that was in the middle of summer, at a music festival with dickheads winding him up.

You know how it went down do you? How do you know he didn't start mouthing off? We both know he'd do it.

So? What kind of grown man can't control himself? If he seriously can't, don't put yourself if the situation. He's a professional football player, if he doesn't like it, quit.

Like I said I'll give him the benefit of the doubt. Until I hear otherwise, I'll believe that he didn't go off instigating a brawl because that would be incredibly dumb on his behalf.

For ****'s sake, he got into a scuffle. He didn't knock someone out. He's a human. Are you going to sit here and tell me that you've never gotten a tiny bit angry after a bit of grog?

As I said, he hasn't done anywhere near enough wrong off the field to warrant us getting rid of him for that reason alone. If we were to get rid of him, I would hope that it's more to do with his lack of improvement.

That's fine. But let's not pretend like he's done nothing wrong here. He's put himself in the situation, he now lives with the consequences.

I can safely tell you I've never ended up in a scuffle after drinking. But I deliberately don't drink to the point I can't control myself. Something Mitch should be doing.

It will likely be a mixture of the two. You can't be lying to the club for the best part of a week and expect everything to be fine.
