Nice win - but Port were down with injury/illness on our home turf and we still only just got over the line.
I intend to enjoy what's left of the season, but do not have any high expectations

I dont get the "They can play small and tall" line all the time. Has to be some hirses for courses. Kolo still looking for his pants and not fault of his. Ridiculous match up on Rioli.

Danger post match said he is struggling to get up mentally more so then physically each week. That is a worry. Collingwood friday night should be enough to spur him on enough.

Also says the fowards have no idea where Miers is going. Defence got no chance.

Cameron a shadow. Cmon Jezza!

To be fair Kolo has done a very good job against smalls in the distant past, but he's bulked up too much since then. I remember him keeping a lid on Charlie Cameron once but we're a far cry from there now.

And hopefully there aernt too many posts on it - because im sick of reading about possible injuries to Geel players - especially straight after a gallant win that keeps the season alive

Worry about it later in the week - if there needs to be any worry at all at that point

It's an autopsy/review thread - injury concerns are all part of it

We are getting wrecked by injuries this year. We have depth but we are gonna need it our tall stocks are getting whacked.

Our nearest analogue to Blicavs is Mitch Knevitt, who couldn't get a senior game this week. Our best Jack Henry replacement is also Mitch Knevitt, so if he doesn't play next week I can only wonder what's going on.

Surely the AA selectors HAVE to give Gryan a spot on the team now? Surely. He's already into second on the all-time goal assists list. The next-best player is 14 goal assists behind him, it's ridiculous what he's doing.

If the idea is that he can't be in a forward pocket or on a flank due to his low goal tally, then just give him a bench spot. Problem solved. It would be kind of like what they did with Blicavs last year: the role he played was unique, so they didn't know where to put him in the on-field side, but he definitely deserved AA, so a bench spot was a good way around that issue.

Those are worrying words from Danger. Did he give a reason?

We missed bews in that sense. Zuthrie should have been given rioli.

Yeah geez it was a bad look. Despite winning the free kick count I thought we got absolutely rogered.

I thought the game was probably a touch over-umpired, but Port also gave away a few "professional" free kicks. The sort where if you don't infringe Jeremy Cameron's marking attempt then he undoubtedly marks the footy, whereas if you chop the arms maybe you get lucky and the ump misses it.

The one-handed handball that all the nongs over on the main forums are blubbering about was 100% correct. It looked like a handball in real time, but the replay confirms the ump got it right. Good on him for having the guts to pay an I50 free kick in a close game.

If it’s a 3rd crack for Jack Henry foot.
Our insurance policy AKA Esava Ratugolea might be one that takes yet another turn.
Coach could not be clearer about what he thinks of Sav.…his praise was very very high. I don’t think he is getting dropped again this year…so either Henry is out or they have to think about dropping Kolo or SDK (I don’t think they will come into a game with Henry forward again)

I think he has been either on crutches or moon boot most weeks after games over past month…maybe a management thing? At some stage it will tip over the edge and he will be out for a while

Not good for our second ruck

Freo got away with lots of those last week. Maybe someone's had a quiet word with the umpiring department in the meantime.
Rozee's I think was facing the sideline so umps couldn't see it. Other than that were they called for any others? There were a few overhead passes in a short passage of time there.
Everybody does it now with the two handed flip pass.
