I thought this was really great promotion for the AFL. Cox did well talking up our great game to the U.S audience too.

The CBS link works.

Decent piece which obviously builds Cox up above his actual ability to promote the game to an international audience which i understand.

If it leads to more exposure overseas then it will have done good for the game.
He did well ..good interview

He exaggerated or maybe told a porky when he said all of the Collingwood players were belting out the national anthem! Not one opened his mouth!

He definitely told a few porky pies or just made stuff up if he didn't know... no harm done, it came across to me like someone that was really excited to tell people back home about AFL so he embellished on things he thought would catch their attention a bit.
Big LOL when he was asked about Sherrin footballs and the meaning of 'Kangaroo Brand', confidently answering they're made out of Kangaroos, only to be corrected by his teammate that they're made from pig skin and subsequently ribbed and told to stay in his lane... 60 Minutes edited in a voiceover correcting them all, informing they're actually made out of cows ("cowhide" or something more specific like that I think...).

I lived in the U.S myself back around 2009, showed my housemates highlights of AFL on youtube and funnily enough picked out the same Harbrow on Lewis hit. My yanky housemate who was a fireman over there was like 'Whoaaaa, lights out dude, thats crazy and no pads! I said 'yeah he came back on the field to play after that too'. His response 'That sh*t is gnarly dude' !

My ex, also american use to love AFL when she came here, they like how fast and athletic it is, i think particularly compared to their own sports which can be a bit stop start. They have no time for rugby and cricket though, anything British they tend to think is sh*t.
