Do Freo need Warner?
And why the hell wouldnt we give up our own 1st rounder?I cant see a way that WC get Chad without giving up your own first round pick, which will probably be top 3.
This is the same club that gave up 14 for an uncontracted Baker
100% yes. They need goals from the midfield badly. Its why Bolton is in but then I feel they need 2 players of that type. Its why most people think Kozzi Picket should be Freos target next year if it isnt WarnerDo Freo need Warner?
It all depends on where the hawks finish .agree on the Judd deal that's why I explained it with context.
Offering Hawks 1st and WC F1st is absolute top value.
No more and if that's the deal WC should be asking for something back imo, F2nd.
I dont think Sydney will give a shitIt all depends on where the hawks finish .
If they miss finals and its top 10 pick it is a very good pick
Common sense says hawks wouldn't trade pick 14 last trade period but they did and they added to their draft handI dont think Sydney will give a shit
You cant offer 1+ mill per year to a guy and say "Take our 2nd best first rounder". Common sense says that isnt a thing
Realistically if we played Mr Nice Guy over freakin Liam Baker we dont have much of a leg to stand on here.Common sense says hawks wouldn't trade pick 14 last trade period but they did and they added to their draft hand
Geelong hawks essendon and Port would do it .
If chad picks us and our pick offer is better than anything freo can offer why not?
We play mr nice guy at the detriment of the quality of the list .
Sydney get enough of a leg up from the afl so I wouldn't care . They will be a top team again next season and they already get access to a top 5 pick .

I think he is confused with Brisbane who have what id say is pick 1 again in the academyOutside of everything else, who is this magical top 5 academy pick?
Watched a large amount of u18s and what not and not sure we have a top five prospect as it stands.
Hopefully we don't see a repeat of matt Clarke being chummy to his old Richmond mates . It was a terrible look .Realistically if we played Mr Nice Guy over freakin Liam Baker we dont have much of a leg to stand on here.
You want us to negotiate from a power of immense weakness.
We need to stop playing Mr Nice Guy but I can round of 5+ other places we need to do this before we do it at the trade table for a guy like Chad Warner and haggling over a small win at the trade table
Someone else said youb had a top 5 pick next year . Lots of water to go under the bridge .Outside of everything else, who is this magical top 5 academy pick?

And no guarantee we'll take them (eg. Cochran)Outside of everything else, who is this magical top 5 academy pick?

We will and probably should. Warner is a guy to just get done and move on. I want us to make a stand against AFL HQ before I worry about pick 3 vs pick 7 stance against SydneyHopefully we don't see a repeat of matt Clarke being chummy to his old Richmond mates . It was a terrible look .
So now any deal would involve Chad, Corey AND Sheldrick and a 1st round pick going back?Noah Chamberlain is likely to be the first Swans NGA to attract a bid which I suspect is likely to come in the 15-30 range. If I were the Swans I’d be asking for for 3 and F1 in exchange for Warner bros and 17 assuming ladder positions remain. I think Clarke is likely to agree to that provided Sheldrick is included, who would be a player our game style would target.
Now now, we will throw in Bailey Williams too. We cant have a trade without a 2nd rate West Coast ruckman going to Sydney nowSo now any deal would involve Chad, Corey AND Sheldrick and a 1st round pick going back?
sheldrick wont be worth anything if he spends another year in the magoosSo now any deal would involve Chad, Corey AND Sheldrick and a 1st round pick going back?
Think Sheldrick + Corey Warner is pick 30-45 range. Our 3rd would be itsheldrick wont be worth anything if he spends another year in the magoos
Corey will leave with Chad yes but holds almost zero value in terms of trade. You’d be getting pick 3 and another likely top 5 pick the following year so yes that’s correct. Pick 3 and 2026 pick 3-5 for Warner and 17 with two reserves players is not unreasonable. So now any deal would involve Chad, Corey AND Sheldrick and a 1st round pick going back?
Same with corey warnersheldrick wont be worth anything if he spends another year in the magoos
Corey I understand. Has Sheldrick indicated that he wants to leave at the end of 2025?Corey will leave with Chad yes but holds almost zero value in terms of trade. He is too good to not get game time at afl level .Corey I understand. Has Sheldrick indicated that he wants to leave at the end of 2025?
Not that I’m aware of but GTG has answered that succinctly.Corey I understand. Has Sheldrick indicated that he wants to leave at the end of 2025?
I think we will continue drafting inside mids, it would appear that kicking skills and an outside game are merely a bonus to what we’re after. Sheldrick fits the mould perfectly in a great age bracket. We’ll ask the question. He is too good to not get game time at afl level .
If swans don't play him i can see him leaving .
Would west coast want him ? We seem to have drafted a lot of inside mid lately so maybe not
Those numbers were just an example of how contracts are smoothed out, not for one second suggesting that’s what the player is on.Numbers mentioned here
Hmmm not very reliable
