I think you're too kind Scodog. There is no room for that type of criticism here. It's what I'd expect to see on the Tuggers or scum sites.

I come down on the side of this board being a place where people hopefully feel totally comfortable sharing their opinions (warts and all) and would rather we educate as a collective than prohibit certain views. It’s then up to the reader to self moderate so long as the views aren’t against board rules. That said I totally understand people wanting to denounce “keyboard warriors”, in hindsight I may have erred with my comments directed at Kappa considering the main antagonist was Seedsfan and lastly we don’t know each other on here.

Me for instance I personally played footy the wrong way (I was one of those recklessly brave types which in hindsight was ****ing dumb) and suffered a number of concussions which I fear have taken a toll with regards to my concentration and memory. Harking back to my playing days I’d have given anyone that did what WHE did the Shiel treatment. On here though no way would I call into question a guys courage. None of that is to approve of those comments, but rather to provide perspective on why I’m softer on it than others and I totally support the efforts of Sidey here (although it’s dragged on a bit).

Happy to see McMahon develop in the VFL, he’s going nicely. Kelly is nowhere near it. Murphy, albeit a little undersized, has been exceptionally good since returning, playing a key role, so there’s no urgency to bring in either of those two imo.

Totally agree, Checkers has been playing sore for weeks now, but he also pinged a medial on Sunday. He'll be even slower now! But hopefully he can soldier on till the end of the year...I'm sure he'll try.

Never been a big fan of Kelly but have hope. Seen a bit of the VFL and McMahon has had some glimpses of hope but Kelly was pretty good after halftime in his first game back and certainly looked more accomplished than McMahon but he has had a few years.

Some of our players are soft, Buckley even said it…hard is Adams players that pull out or turn to avoid contact (Gini in the first quarter tackling) are soft….that’s a soft act. Doesn’t mean they don’t contribute in other ways…but the reality is carrying too many players that lose 1v1’s is a liability.

Kelly seems a decent athlete but his decision making can be baffling at times. Often tries to do too much when he gets the ball and either gets caught HTB or makes a costly turnover.

Took a tackle side on midway through the first quarter…couldn’t have jumped out of the way quick enough.

Still managed to lay an effective tackle though. The kid has class.

He actually turned sideways so that he could bring the Hawks player down using his momentum. He didn’t jump out the way.
