This game is far from a cakewalk if you ask me. If we bring the intensity that we brought against the Dogs, we lose. If we bring the intensity we brought against the Power, we win comfortably.

Not sure about a double team leaving another player loose but Beau certainly has the strength at stoppages to clamp him. Id be giving Long first crack to redeem himself and make adjustments on the fly (pardon the pun) if Cripps starts being influential. Fly and the coaches will see this long before we doWouldn't be a bad idea to double team him or maybe even stick Beau on him for the first quarter and a bit.
That may be the case.IF true then this outline how poor the rest of the side are.
Yeah true. Still at least it's not Sunday or Monday night.Yeah love it for Tv time but sucks for working people and kids with work the next day.
Pressure & gang tackling all game is the key.If we bring our intensity and pressure we win.
We have them covered for skill across the ground, nullify Crippa, TDK and Weitering's impact it will go a long way to controlling the game and breaking their backbone.
Go pies! Excited to see the boys get out their! Feels like ages since we've see them play.
NoAnyone else heard that McKay isn’t playing atm because he and Voss had a punch on?
He wasn’t offered a contract. StKilda publicly said he was never offered a contract. He would not have been eligible to be taken as a delisted free agent if he was offered a contract.Lmao. Rubbish. Load of tripe. He was offered a one year contract and not guaranteed a place in the firsts squad. Lyon wanted to play the younger players.
Collingwood offered 2 years.
Saints loss.
Are you really doing that?We kick one less goal against the dogs it's a draw.
Carlton kick one more goal against the dogs they lose by 2pts.
If we won by 14pts that would only be 6pts off the Hollywood Hawks victory.
I really don't see how this wont be a close game and I'll take a win of any margin.
If my grandmother had two wheels she'd be a bike.We kick one less goal against the dogs it's a draw.

Sounds like Voss wonAnyone else heard that McKay isn’t playing atm because he and Voss had a punch on?
For the first time I’m going to have a go at Fly. Now he’s done this to two players, Fin and Ed. He says during a press conference when asked about these players, “ we want to get them into our side, they’re important to our team.” What happens they don’t get played.. he said it about ED this week and last and said it several times about Fin and we know how he’s been treated. A quarter here and there in the AFL when he gets picked. Now it looks like Ed is going to cop this treatment.
We have the oldest side ever to play an AFL match this week I hope both players are in touch with their management team. Yes Fin is injured but he should be desperately looking for other options and Ed well I hope he’s been tapped on the shoulder and been told that there will be changes at years end and the younger players will have more of a go next year as some list spots will be opened up.

The Pies to win this comfortably by 5 plus goals.
I forgot it the minute the siren went. He shut down their best defender for a large part of the match and played to coaches orders.I'll never forget him dropping that sitter in the GF.

Have to wonder if we're still going to go with Frampton with McKay not playing
Reckon everyone else in Carlton's forward line might be too mobile for him?
The rumour floating around is that he broke up with his girlfriend. Not joking.

The sub comes from the bench so eitherI'm mildly disappointed that Cox was omitted because I believe that he is vastly underestimated as a key component of our structure across the entire ground.
Only mildly, because I realise that the call between him and Tim Mem was always line ball. He is a very good replacement for Cox!
I think it was correct to call up Frampers because Carlton do have several tall options up forward, even though Harry is not playing.
They don't have an armada of small forwards that could decimate us at ground level.
As for sub, I thought Lippa would be the best choice, but I realise that this won't happen, given that there is a video on our website featuring him as Adonis to promote the Peter Mac Cup.
Therefore, I think that Beau should be the sub, and let Ned Long start in the 22 and get an entire game as our hard inside mid. He won't tag Cripps, because I don't think realistically speaking he has the attributes that would be required for such a role - given how many Brownlow medals Cripps has accrued over the years.
He will just go in hard at every opportunity, and hopefully collect/tackle Cripps on many such occasions - as well as several others.
Beau is a fantastic player to have up one's sleeve as the sub, and his contributions to date have not been so massive that such a call would be unjustified.
