Who knows, given the forecast for tomorrow perhaps Cox will be a late out and Brown will come in to the 22.
Late outs for weather rarely happen. Besides Cox was good the week before in the extreme wet before getting injured.
He is fine. How did Pendles train during the week? Looked like he pulled a leg muscle during the Blues game.
Looked like an upper leg muscle. Did he seem hampered at all during the week?He is fine.
Nah. Trained all week. So whatever was in the game, didn't affect him.Looked like an upper leg muscle. Did he seem hampered at all during the week?
Good to hear.Nah. Trained all week. So whatever was in the game, didn't affect him.
Agree with this, we are on the improve…still a way off the dominant Hawks sides currently. They didn’t just settle for being above average kicks…they were elit across all lines. All the players you have named are relatively old. I’m talking about the kicking improvement from the turnover of players in recent times.
J Daicos
N Daicos
Ginnivan
McCreery
Quaynor
Cameron
Noble
Murphy
Henry
Are all relatively recent additions to the side and all are above-average kicks.
Collectively they are big improvements on C Brown, T Brown, Mayne, Greenwood, Phillips, Blair, the Irish rookies, etc, most of whom couldn’t reliably hit a target in general play more than 30m away and lacked the kicking penetration to score from set shots of more than 40m.
There is no doubt whatsoever that we are a better kicking side than we were 2-3 years ago.
All of the players named this week have kicking penetration. They can move the ball quickly from point A to point B. The refreshing of our squad has gotten rid of players who kick high floaters that take too long to reach the target and are easily intercepted. We are much more dangerous and high scoring because of it.
That kicking evolution is exactly what Hawthorn did under the leadership Clarko and Wright. It’s early days but we are already reaping rewards from changing emphasis to only recruiting players who are strong kicks of the footy.

It makes our loss to the weagles a real head scratcher - no % builder for us, unfortunately.Agreed - the atrocious form of the bottom 3 will mean at least 13 wins required

If there is one word to encapsulate Bianco's career to date it would be forgettable. Sadly.Noble and IQ are both around 180 from memory. Not quite midget territory but certainly not tall, you’re right.
Completely forgot about Bianco because he just hasn’t come on in the way I’d hoped, and Jaime may as well be 195cm with the way he plays and can jump
It’s a shame because he looked so promising on debut, but he seems to have regressed significantly since then. It probably hasn’t helped this year that they’ve been trying to fit a square peg in a round hole by playing him forward. If there is one word to encapsulate Bianco's career to date it would be forgettable. Sadly.
Would love to see him really work on his tank.
A lot of teams go through it PN but the professionally run ones minimize it - which is the difference between waving the flag and waving goodbye come September.Beat a red hot Freo in Perth and get rolled at home by a basket case West Coast. Never change Pies
Adams kicking has been surprisingly good this season. DeGoey's kicking often looks bad off the boot but tends to hit the target. Sidebottoms kicking can be on, usually for a whole match and the next match he misses everything, usually his kicking is short. What!!!!
Sidebottom, Crisp, Adams and DeGoey say hi
To be fair the Daicos boys make the ohers look like James Manson. Josh is exquisiteAdams kicking has been surprisingly good this season. by far the smoothest players in motion at our club they make everything look beautiful. Those off the deck pickups by Josh followed by pin point kicking, the running motion of Nick combined with the way he kicks it...........To be fair the Daicos boys make the ohers look like James Manson.
