Out: T Brown

In: McInness

A goal and a corralling pressure act on Saad doesn’t cover up the fact Brown had 6 touches from 65% game time

Give McInness a run. He can rotate between forward and mid
100% this. In Reef, out Brown. He, Elliott and JDG can have some extra midfield minutes to fill the void (if you could even possibly call it that) that Brown leaves in the middle.

Out JDG, Brown, WHE & Pendles

In nothing left?

Seriously we were our worst enemy today. I found it hard to enjoy wins like that but hey thats me.

Pendles really looks at the end of his career & JDG looks timid and not interested.
At least we know your real identity isn't Craig Macrae. Or Michael Voss.

Hopefully we should have the forward line to trouble them, particularly Elliott and Ginnivan could cause them problems, as the Hawks defence is their weak spot, particularly with smaller forwards....
The opposite of what you said. Our weakness is our talls or lack there of. This week we actually match up ok even with Frost out. For us where the game is won or lost is if our midfield turns up. It's a poor group as it is but occasionally they play well together and hold their
own. I think we have the forward line to cause problems as long as we give the guys down there a proper chance and enough looks at it. Were 1 of the worst sides for inside 50s.

The medium to small forwards for the Suns tore you blokes a new one.....

I'd go

OUT: T. Brown
IN: McCreery

I haven't seen the point of playing Brown the last month and certainly not forward. He should have been left in the VFL to consolidate his good form. Now it feels like he is back to square one, in poor form, without any progress.

Channel 9 reporting Darcy Moore going in for scans for an ongoing issue? Anyone know anything further, or is this just a non-story?

While Brown to his credit made an important contribution in the last quarter I'm not so sure that covers for the rest of the match where he was a non factor and looked to be really struggling with the pace of the game.

One has to at least ponder whether his influence in the last was directly related to the players around him tiring and bringing the contest back to his level?

While it's fine to defend him on the premise that he's still a work in progress we shouldn't overlook the fact that someone like McCreery is actually 16 months younger and if anything deserves even more leeway.

Personally I feel McCreery has produced more than Brown at AFL level in a shorter period of opportunity and it was a peculiar selection decision in the end as Brown seemingly ended up occupying the same role that McCreery has done when people were arguing for his inclusion on the basis of added midfield depth.

Call it for what it is - not a back slapper every time we pick up 4 pts. Chump.

Don’t like it, move on.

There’s a difference between not being a “back slapper” and being relentlessly pessimistic to the point of delusion.

You are well and truly the latter

I think the match day thread always exposes how poor your judgement/knowledge is - eg yesterday when you suggested Ginni has no tricks other than pulling frees.

T Brown was quiet yesterday and I understand why people want him dropped. McCreery has been equally poor, if not worse than T Brown in his last few matches.

He had an Achilles last year and it was suggested he’d need to be rested at some point - then he got injured ( hammy from memory) which provided the needed rest.
So we now could be back to square one and Achilles needs resting again.
I hope I’m completely wrong, because the implication is that it’s chronic.

I hope it’s nothing but moores injury history is precisely why I didn’t want him signed up on a long contract.
