Makes sense to field the strongest possible team and thump the Roos to boost percentage. Port Adelaide is most likely to be a banana peel match, although Sydney and Carlton are seeming more winnable by the day. If enough results go our way, we could have a good buffer in the eight for an inevitable loss before finals. Realistically, though, if we win this, three wins would secure a finals berth.

JDG's body is another motivating factor to move him on and cut our losses. Carmichael ahead of Macrae only because I want to see him before finals as it might be important that we give him a run and see where he's at. Debut against bottom side or a qualifying final (yes, I'm being optimistic)? Bottom side for me.

Surely Mihocek still likely to play. He'd have to have a leg amputated not to.

I'm suggesting something like this:

In: Howe, Carmichael, Kelly
Out: Moore, JDG, Ruscoe

Ruscoe was good, but I reckon he'll be the sub (instead of Chugg).

If Mihocek doesn't get up then maybe Johnson comes in, or Ruscoe stays in.

Tough break for Macrae too, he was good in the VFL.

Feeling more nervous about this game with all the suspected injuries coming from training today…hoping checkers pulls up but would think Johnson comes in if he doesn’t. Would like to see Carmichael come in if JDG misses.
