I remember about 6 weeks ago there was no depth in midfield at all. With the arrival of Carmichael, and the improvement in form of Macrae, it's nice to be having a debate about how/when we can fit them in. I wonder if the recruitment of Carmichael is getting the best out of Macrae. A friendly rivalry.

If ever he was going to get a game it's now. McMahon is somewhat younger, is learning to play a key defence role and is still fairly spindly. He has time on his side. Kelly doesn't.
Keep them both. still young and can get there, unless Kelly is a steak knife in a Taranto deal.
I fear that’s a harsh reality, my hope is they have some patience. He has had very COVID and injury interupted career so far. His brother was a relatively late bloomer…

Macrae has just slowly and incrementally improved as the year has gone by and he's got used to playing an inside mid role. I still think he's a couple of years away from being fully ready.
Just needs to get fit!
Maybe the West Coast loss sits heavy with me.
I also recall your Sydney game and going to the Nth Hawthorn game. You should have won both of those

Jarrod Wade and his crew clearly have the runs on the board to back the decision in on JDG if the decision is to play him. But I’m not sure why you’d risk him even if there is a little doubt about his fitness, his importance to us this year is too big and north aren’t even VFL standard so would be perfect to be on the side of caution
