You're clearly an imposter and what have you done with real Scrag. He would say we should be playing Timmy against no recognisable opposition to increase his trade value!
I think what he means is Timmy to the wing and Hunter to contest the centre bounces.

Preuss and Gawn will both be fine ... they may even play both..

PCL injuries are always three weeks at best and its only been two, why would you risk or rush him?? Even if he plays he won't be close to 100%

He is currently in the rehab group and just running laps, no contact training. He may play but I think its unlikely.

Feel like this is a massive opportunity for Josh Bruce. He's played a lot of games double teamed in greasy conditions.

On Saturday Naughton will be prime target, Lever/May prefer to play interceptor than hard defender, and the forecast says 22 degrees and 0% chance of rain.

Come on Josh this is your day to show us what you can do.

What will end up happening is Naughton kicks another bag.

May has tightend up this year, Lever you can get a hold on, Bruce just needs to be accountable and naughts will destroy whos left.

If all three first choice rucks are out for the Dees, then I fully expect us to rest English and not replace him.

This could be the first time in the history of the game that ruckrovers play in the actual ruck.

If that happened, it wouldn’t be the biggest concern that they both aren’t hitting the scoreboard. As long as the other is still taking a defender or two away from the other, they aren’t getting in each other’s way and are cracking in, that is fine

I would take the opposite view that, if Melbourne have no genuine Rucks available and Tim's ankle is ok, it's a great opportunity for him to play, push hard forward and back and really stretch them

Not minding the idea of JOhannisen forward. Has the pace and could potentially turn himself into a pressure forward, although unknown if he would do much better than West did against the crows

JJ and pressure just don't go together, he's ok if he is out on his own but ask him to put some heat on the opposition and he'll run the opposite direction

This is plain and simply not true.
Since 2017 he has had effort put into him by the opposition and nearly every time he crumbles and goes missing. His performance in 2016 was eye candy as he zoomed past everyone else but since then he hasn't had the same spark.

For the most contemporary example, look at the game against Port.

I’m not bagging JJ, but what disappointments me is now that we have a decent backline set up with three genuine rebounding/intercepting defenders in Wood, Crozier and Williams, JJ is free to play his natural running/receiving game, yet he hasn’t looked like that for a couple of years. Now we have our settled backline, maybe JJ can be our winger with pace like Eagleton, and Vandermeer on the other wing swapping with Hunter

We should be treating this as a virtual elimination final.

We win this and maybe with Collingwood/GWS results going against them this week and we're more likely than not to make finals.

Lose this and we're no chance of making finals given that it might be an 8 point swing game for who makes finals.

JJs been good all year bar a few turnovers in a game he was trying to create something out of absolutely nothing. Has never had an issue going when it’s his turn to go, always hits contests In the air hard and is actually reasonably good overhead. Swear some of you people just don’t watch the game but just have an assumption on him that clouds your judgement.

Anybody else remember Dunkley's game against the Dees (and his little brother) last year? Was one of the best individual games I've seen in a Dogs jumper in a loooong time. Throw him in the midfield and let him replicate that please, Bevo.

Out: English, West, Gardner, R.Smith, Richards

In: Sweet, Crozier, Bruce, Vanders, JJ

I know it was Adelaide but making 5 changes to a winning team doesn't seem right.

English, Gardner and maybe Roarke out is plenty IMO.

Yeah doesn't cope well with a tag does not equal no pressure or scared of his own shadow. Most outside players can be shut down with a tag. And his desperate defensive efforts definitely go unoticed by some as they dont show up on the stats sheet. But (like Richards) he actually makes it to the ball/oppo and applies the pressure to stop a clean disposal very regularly

I am not even going to try and select a team this week. After last week’s selections and non-selections by the MC it is obvious that I am not even close to understanding what they are doing. They got a win with that side so I will now defer to their greater knowledge.

One point I will make, and I don’t think I am going in for hagiography here, but Richards form last week gives the MC yet another conundrum with our plethora of half backs.
