I'm finding McDonald's inability to think about what he is going to do with the ball before he gets it infuriating at the moment. Seems whenever he gets the ball he would rather take contact and hold the ball up even if he has players ready on the outside. Needs to start thinking about how he wants to use the ball before he asks for it.
If he hasn't learnt by now, sadly, he never will

Umpires are wising up to it, has been pinged a couple times this year whilst blatantly trying to take the contact and kill the ball.

So with an all games membership I can just scan in and sit in any GA section right? Assuming the North area will be the Ponsford stand? Level 2 behind the goals there is pretty alright.

Which dilf am I gonna sit with on Saturday….

Well, we have been uncompetitive for consecutive weeks, so why leave in these older players who are apparently “showing the way” when they’re offering nothing of the sort? Not only that, but them playing so poorly is setting horrible standards for the younger players.

There surely is a limit with Clarko. We will see what happens over the next few games

It seems like whenever he's asked about a young player Clarko starts his first sentence in his answer by naming at least one other young player before talking them. He's very switched on to that sort of thing.

He did say that in the interview. He said wtte of "if its not working there will be a point where we just say 'Stuff it!' and throw the kids in anyway."

My post was how does he get to that point when we’re already there lol

Hence why I also said we will see what happens over the next few days. I highly doubt Clarko will want this effort to continue…

Does the Melbourne website have a Simon Goodwin presser saying "they're a low quality opponent"?

I actually love when a strong club has to pump up a game like this.

Goodwin:

"Really good kids"

"Took it up to some good teams for patches"

"Still got some champion veterans like the 300 gamer Goldstein and Ben Cunnington"

"We're really wary that on their day any team can take it up to you"

Etc etc.

In reality he'll be doing the crossword for 3/4 then deciding which kids to give some extra minutes.

It was all doom and gloom heading into this fixture last year, but it was a good day at the footy in the end. In fact, it was the only time we got within 50 points of an opponent for an 11-game stretch. We were in striking distance at 3Q time and then dropped off at the end. It was one of at most five games last year under David Noble that weren't a complete disaster.

He might not think we're already there. Well i reckon he obviously doesn't or he'd have said "**** it we're playing the kids." as opposed to "If we stay this bad then eventually we'll be all '**** it lets play the kids.'"

And they got a dream run from the people's in green. Remember the TT tackle early on Langdon ?

Even Gary Lyon was questioning alot of the decisions post game.

You’d have to interpret that as a not so subtle message to the likes of Howe and Turner (among others); sounds like he’s cut some slack for the recurring road trips but no more excuses; drury and Bergman should keep their boots polished
