its great that fox will show it live but it will still be the channel 7 broadcast, only it will be on foxsports so expect the same shit production values and wank commentary (when its a channel 7 game)

The TV networks have one trick when they want to improve/change up the coverage - get closer to the action. And closer. And closer.
Closer does not equal better.

Just about ruined Buddy's goal for the TV viewer.

We need an actual footy fan to take over the coverage.

I waited a long time for the pies to win a premiership last year so that I could buy the DVD, the coverage of the replay was terrible, the zoom was disgusting, especially the super slow mo crap and grand final 1 was on blu-ray and the 2nd one wasn't.

They are a disgrace of a television network. Why can't they just show normal camera angles that have been around for a very very long time.

They should probably think: Gee... where are the expensive seats? Where's the ideal vantage point?

I'll give them the tip - it's not from ground level, and it's also not from the friggin' moon.

Even when they were shooting from the correct level you're right... it was point-blank. It was AFL through the prism of The Bourne Supremacy. Complete crap.

The camerawork was fine. It was the direction and vision mixing that spoiled it i.e. the selection of which camera to show on air.
