No one can defend dicko. The fact he was subbed out says it all
I’ll have a go

1. He beat his opponent yesterday and was best on ground
2. He will play better without Marshall in the team
3. Ken Hinkley told him not to lead
4. He is in career best form
5. Marshall stole his marks
6. He averages 13 touches against Fremantle and Marshall only averages 12
7. He assisted in all of Mitch Georgiades goals by being onscreen

I reckon he might make a good sub . He could’ve come on last night when Soldo was cooked

Here's the problem.

That means Finlayson was out there and Finlayson is the worst Ruck Port have had on their afl list. I like Finlayson as a forward in form and I'm not canning him personally but for ****s sake keep him away from the Ruck.

Port planned to have Dixon run out the game because he's fit and had the week off.

In future we probably have no choice but to play 2 Rucks. Soldo and.

I've always liked Charlie, even allowing for some of his less considered comments about supporters.

But he looks more cooked than a mad man's roast. He literally cannot change direction, or in some cases barely move.

I really feel for him being turned out in that condition.

He's always tried his best in my opinion and I will always respect him for that. He's one of the few who do and who keeps up intensity when we fall behind. His turn in the ruck was pretty good last night and we lost a lot when Finlayson replaced him in that role. Unfortunately, he's just not not able to run and change direction quickly enough now or for long enough. I can't see any improvement from his previous game despite being rested. It looks like its time for Charlie to bow out and give Lord a good run at it. Sad, but its time for him to step aside.

Absolutely. Charlie has smashed his body out on the oval. He was never the most natural forward but could swing a game by body size, strength, aggression and sheer force of will. When he came back through the sanfl he showed as much passion as he does at AFL.

I expected him and Boak to play a fair bit of sanfl this year, providing some leadership and guidance to a young and inexperienced group. Heaven knows they need it.

A man’s got to know his limitations, he knows he’s not up to it, own up to it.

When he can’t take a contested mark we can’t seem to get it out of defense.. he was getting thrashed and yet we still kept kicking to him on the wing and he kept getting beaten or falling over..

It’s like we have no kick out or forward plan That doesn’t involve Dixon..what an indictment on the coaching group..

He always use to be our bailout and take a big contested mark when we couldn't move the ball forward because of poor coaching.

His direct opponents know how badly he's going and have exploited him many times this year.

With no contested marking from Dixon, the coaching staff will have to work out another plan to get the ball into the F50 when the opposition play tight. Good luck.

That's the issue. We have a team of selfish men, not men.

I don't want to paint all of them with the same brush but to see the likes of Jonas and Lycett last year and Dixon and to a lesser extent, Boak this year is just that Cronyism filtering down to the leadership types on the field.

Is there any other club playing completely banged up veterans?

That's why you have to admire Sydney. They have a guy like Luke Parker playing in the Magoos where he took out his frustration out on a poor bloke off the ball.

Maybe they will have to earn their money for change and actually work out more than one game plan. Most inept bunch of coaches in the history of our club.

Deep disdain for the supporters of the club he plays for.
34yo with a battered and broken body.
Can only hobble 5m but does it with a mean look.
Still gets a game because he’s cum buddies with the forward coach.

Ken will play him as long as he has a game or two where he takes a few contested marks again, I mean the guy is a goliath he can just stand still and he'll take a couple and kick a few at some point regardless of running like he has casts on his legs..

Then we'll have usual suspects back in here rolling off stats & how he's our best forward.

Being our best key forward is no compliment when the competition has been Marshall and an injured Georgiades.

Georgiades is starting to get going again which is great.

Even better would be Lord coming on as his development is the real key to our future forward line.

Unfortunately the paycheck takes priority.
