Yeah now, but Dixon won't be remembered any more than Schulz is by the general public 8 years after he's retired.

Nah I disagree. I'm not saying he'll be remembered as a great or anything but he has a distinctly recognisable image and on field persona that makes him a character of the game that people will remember. Also, he has been talked up by the media as Port's key player for many years and the truth of that doesn't really matter in the sense of any publicity being good publicity.

Schulz played his career in relative anonymity and with minimum fuss. In fact I think even those who do remember him as a player would be surprised if you showed them his record at Port and just how many goals he kicked.

Genuinely incredible that even after the difference between Dixon and the other players who have 'defended the administration' being pointed out in painstaking detail multiple times there are still several absolute mouthbreathers in this thread posting "i cAnT uNdeRsTaNd wHy pEOPlE aRE uPsET????" I imagine you probably struggle to understand how to tie your own shoes.

I’d imagine you’d still sleep with the light on in a racing car bed with a Bluey doona.

Way to prove him right. Are you deliberately missing the point?

Everyone can understand the difference, most just have the emotional intelligence to understand why a frustrated individual made the comments he did and therefore choose not to invalidate his entire career or him as person.

Was Dixon picked, knowing he was injured / likely to not play a full game, and why Jezza was on the bench as the sub??

If so, that is rubbish selection policy by the chairman of selectors.

Purely on the fact we know runners are the best option for the sub it's horrible in every light.

Dixon's will have an element of supporters who always remember him slagging us off and the only way he can recover from that is to either win a flag or say some real Port Adelaide shit real fast.

You can't slag off your supporters.
As I've said, it's unprecedented down at the club.

I can't remember a time when a player has openly had a go at the fans.

There is a saying that if you don't hold your kids accountable, someone else eventually will and it is the same down at the club. No one holds anyone accountable and then the fans hold them accountable and instead of saying we need to be better or improve, they have a go.

As I've said before, something is rotten in the state of Denmark and we kinda know what it is now.

But that's the thing, you can call him out on making shit comments without invalidating his entire career as a result.

I am pretty sure Kane Cornes had a crack at fans in late 2012 when we won a game vs Melbourne??? Shortly before Primus was sacked, saying something like 'where are the Primus haters now?'

Why don't you look in the mirror buddy, you were chief Primus hater. So bizarre he was wheeled out in Matt's defence.

On the rare occasions I can get up the emotion to be genuinely pissed about Hinkley decisions anymore, this did the trick.

In the last 3 games before being suspended Jeremy kicked 8 goals, averaged 5 marks, 2 i50 and 15 disp a game. When he becomes available again he gets treated as a fringe player who is protected from the nasty crows supporters in the showdown and is made the sub against Carlton leaving us with Charlie as our only realistic 2nd ruck.

Unfortunately this left Charlie and Todd free to spud it up in the forward line, with Rioli out of the team. I was forced to watch Wines play as our second ruck which made me want to go all Elvis Presley on the tv.

As for Charlie, I don't know what is going on there. If he is fit, play him. He is in our best 22. If he is as sore/injured as he appears to be, rest him or play him in the magpies if Jeremy or Lord are available.

However playing Charlie with Jeremy as his intended 4th quarter replacement. Keystone ****ing cops stuff.

Probably need to disregard Robbie Gray too then, and basically the majority of the squad from the last 12 years.
yes you are basically right, Robbie and Boak especially because they were in positions of power within the club to try and force change to win a premiership and all they did through their whole career was parrot every word Ken said. The irony is as Ken once said, ýou get what you deserve' and they got what they deserved because they allowed themselves to be sucked into Ken propaganda where the facts were there for them to do something about it.

Dixon is cooked. He needs more than a week off. Resting him every other away game won't do it. Either rest him - properly, or don't select him.

We hear with other guys, and I know they are 31x the player Dixon is, but we often hear about other aging KPF that do not train, or do bare minimum training. I'd be interested to know if Dixon has his own training program or is expected to do as much as Mac and Cheese...

After our recent experience with the club you'd think it would be hard to find something positive to say about any part of it but in Charlie I can and will.
Wrecked himself on the field for his team mates and has always had time for people outside of the game as was on display again yesterday.

Probably is his time to hang up the boots and give more time to his passion for cars.
Could make a few dollars at the track, even on pigs..;)

Go well big fella.
