Much to my Media Overlord's (TiFmedia) disappointment, I have decided to interview Rookies in S35

Just like TheInjuryFactory did, you will probably ask WHY?!?


Ever since the *SuperDraft of S32, both the quality & quantity of Rookies has declined rapidly

This has become an ongoing issue for the Sweet FA Admins, most Clubs & even The Committee


I have decided to give these kids an opportunity to show us what they have to offer!



EPISODE 1 - MayTheNorthBeWithU (Wonders Rookie/ S35 EKA Favourite)

Cheese: Welcome to the Sweet FA, MayTheNorthBeWithU

Has it always been a dream of yours to play Qooty for the West Coast Wonders?


MTNBWU: Thanks for having me, damicky. It's a pleasure to be able to join such a wonderful organisation like the Wonders. A couple years back I was able to live the boyhood dream of playing local footy with my brother, but since we are now living in separate states Qooty has brought us back together on the field, so I would say I am living another dream.


Cheese: For those that are not aware, who is your brother?


MTNBWU: My brother is the one and only HARPSichord … heard he’s well known around the Sweet FA league


Cheese: He is best known for being the "Best Returning Player of S34" & my SFAEW Tag Team Partner


There was a bit of controversy regarding your choice of Clubs

Ligma seemed to think that you were going to join her at The OOBs

Was that ever a possibility?


MTNBWU: Myself and the manager had a quick discussion over the possibility of joining the OOBs, but for me it was always the Wonders… they were the first to reach out and it just felt right from there on - the fact my brother is also a Wonder made the decision to reject Ligma even easier


Cheese: You have only played the one Qooty Match so far … for a WIN

How does the Sweet FA compare to what you expected?


MTNBWU: Sunday was a good introduction after not knowing what to expect - after the experience on the weekend, I can say there is a high quality of qooty and banter in the Sweet FA

As for the win record, hopefully it stays at 100%


Cheese: I won the S32 EKA Award (Best Rookie as voted by the SFA Captains) in S32

Media Threads are an important way to get your name out there

Have you got any ideas that you could use?


MTNBWU: Keep listening to those around me at the Wonders, while also sounding out experienced BF campaigners... and most likely avoid Ligma


Cheese: There are plenty of campaigners around


I am guessing you are a Star Wars fan going by your username

Have you heard of HaroLad ?


MTNBWU: Never heard of Harolad, SW fan?

And as for the name - definitely am a fan of star wars, but not a star wars nerd like HARPSichord

I caught up with the Dragons Rookies during their Bye Week & our Interview went like this

I thought there was supposed to be a 3rd Dragons Rookie … what happened to Lbaddie29 ?


Ge3ks: Dunno. I am not my brother's keeper.


prpl_jss: dunno, busy? we have a bye.


Cheese: How did you both find your way to Sweet & specifically The Dragons?


Ge3ks: I was approached by serial_thrilla .

He knew me from the Freo BF board.


Cheese: It is more than likely that prpl_jss was brainwashed recruited by serial_thrilla as well

How does the Sweet FA compare to what you expected?

Are you enjoying it so far??


Ge3ks: I didn't expect anything because I never knew it existed until a few weeks ago.

As for enjoyment, yep, it's chill. There's banter. The stakes are low. The ugly side of tribalism that invades real footy isn't an issue in SFA. It's nice to experience some comraderie across traditional club allegiances.
