Hope the players send out a better message of support towards Ukraine than the club has.

So disappointed with us atm.
I mean, the players themselves have been financed by this guy. "We" have cheered trophy-upon-trophy with blood money.

It's a no-win situation, but any show of support by the players is rather hollow.

But we all pick and choose our virtues.

While it is hollow, it is still doing something positive.

That was it? Almost better off not saying anything at all if that's all we're dishing up.

Re: Roman, I admire what he's done with the club but I'm not comfortable with him being the owner. I'm not sure what his current relationship with Putin is like, but the two definitely have a history.

Silva, Challobah, Mendy and Havertz all absolutely superb again. Really tough loss to stomach. We should have scored within 6 minutes from that Pulisic chance, Mount missed a couple of gimmie chances including the one he clattered against the post. Lukaku could have easily scored late on from that Alonso cross. In saying that, could easily have conceded a tonne too. Even though we lost and arguably got screwed with VAR, that was one of my favourite games to watch, a spectacle from start to finish, real shame we couldn't cap it off with a trophy.

Sounds like we are officially for sale. Fitting that we won the last trophy missing to end the Roman era.

I doubt our next owner will be as generous so we may have to lower our expectations. It was fun while it lasted.
Especially if it is a consortium.

It feels like the end of everything at the moment.

Roman's leaving us after almost 20 years, and Shane Warne has followed in his wake. Two individuals associated with Chelsea FC.

In some ways, it is fitting that Roman leaves us now, after winning everything there is to win, but I'm still gutted because he ultimately loved the club and always acted with our best interests in mind, even if we didn't always agree with him. He turned us from a competitive but not top-class club into a self-sustaining institution with a wonderful academy.

I'm relatively sanguine about our prospects going forward. Our profile is such that we won't be attracting, or accepting, bids from shysters or clueless nitwits like Blackburn did, and even if our academy suddenly becomes neglected, the talent that has been churning through for some years is such that it will take quite a while for it to be felt on the pitch. Our reputation is such that we will be attracting talented players as well, because a generation of fans would know of no other Chelsea than the trophy-winning machine that Roman himself created.

Hell, his love for the club is such that it wouldn't surprise me if he came back and bought it years later, if we somehow managed to land ourselves in trouble, after all this furore has passed.

He'd only be a minority investor, sounds like Boehly who owns the Dodgers would be the one calling the shots.
Just as bad. A consortium led by an American with investors who hate Roman and don't care about the club

From reading the subreddit, the American guy runs the Dodgers extremely well. So if he brings that sort of ethic to the club, I think that's about the best we can ask for.

It's not that he hates him, he doesn't respect him. TBH the way Roman got rich was pretty dodgy.

Liverpool are run by Americans and are going alright. Boehly is doing an awesome job with the Dodgers if he brings that here thats cool with me.

We arent going to get another sugar daddy to just over spend and keep bailing us out so we are going to lower expectations a bit. We've been spoiled the last 20 years.

We couldn't finish against Liverpool. I think we still need a good centre forward, even if that's not Lukaku.

We've got a young Diego Costa clone(without the bad bits) running around at Soton, we don't need to buy just integrate him.
