Last week in the VFL he was BOG as a defender playing on and destroying the man some Hawthorn supporters called 'the white buddy' in Mitch Thorp.
Thorp was a very early (6) pick in 2006.

Kangars is a Rookie but is 194cm, strong and exceptionally fast. Does anyone have information in regard to his contested skills, ball skills, disposal etc

Could C.K be the man to stop Buddy, who in my opinion is the only factor against Geelong winning the next 2-3 premierships?

Probably more of an athelete than a footballer but I'm sure he can develop the skills and brains to play AFL.
I think he's more of a project player, lots of potential with that pace.

Catzfan, I don't mean to be disrespectful but are you serious???! Do you really think Chris Kangars could take on Buddy Franklin this week? Or do you mean maybe slightly possibly in the long term future like 3 years down the track?

I know that Chris was in the best the other week but there is no way he will get a spot in the seniors this year and more than likely not even next year. No player is going to walk in the Geelong side after 1 BOG performance, our seniors are far too good for that. Kangars seems to be good around the ball for a tall guy. He has improved so much already from the start of the season and is obviously getting some more confidence in his abilities.

You also think that the only factor to stop Geelong winning 2 more premierships is Franklin... Hmmmm. Not so sure I would agree with that either.

I think one Andrew Mackie may just get the nod for that:cool:

I'm all for hoping Kangars can keep his athletic ability and become a good player but I also had massive hopes on Kane Tenace who was the same deal except he ran 100's instead of 400's as a junior. I think Tenace's confidence has been shot for years, he should be a line breaker not an accumulator but ah well, win most lose some.

the next 2-3 flags?:eek::D

Dont want to sound like a troll, although i probably will, but you cannot look too much into it. Thorp has been playing injured since the first encounter vs Geelong where Tom Lonergan landed on his leg.
Thorp did not play vs Preston either.
