Basic Rules
BASIC RULES
Roles will be randomly assigned to all players. Roles will be communicated before the start of Night 1 via PM (Private Message) except for Reindeers, who won’t be notified of their role. The Village Reindeer must identify and kill all the Mafia, Werewolves and any Neutral roles before these players can kill enough players to satisfy their own win condition.
Each day will consist of two phases, starting with Night 1:
Night phase (8pm – 8am AEST)
Players with night actions will nominate the targets of these actions via PM during this phase. These actions must be bolded and clearly stated to be valid. Actions will not be accepted after 8am whether or not deadline has been announced in the game thread.
Day phase (8am – 8pm AEST)
After the results of night actions have been announced, all players will publicly vote to lynch one player during this phase. Votes will not be accepted after 8pm whether or not deadline has been announced in the game thread.
The player with the most votes by the time of the deadline will be lynched and their role revealed in the game thread. In the event of a tied lynch, there will be a multi-lynch.
VOTING
Votes must be in the game thread and must bold the player being voted. Tagging the moderator is optional, but is quite helpful for tracking votes. You do not have to provide a reason for your vote for it to be valid.
FAILURE TO VOTE IN ANY DAY PHASE WILL RESULT IN A MODKILL

OTHER REASONS FOR MODKILLS
- Failing to nominate a night action on TWO separate Night phases (choosing to not use an action is fine)
- Any communication about this particular game of Werewolf outside of the game thread, except for those that have an allocated PM group
- Any deleting or editing posts from the game thread
- Posting screenshots of BigFooty of any kind in the game thread
- Directly quoting any PMs from myself as the game moderator in the game thread
ROLES
1. The number of evil roles is capped at 1/3rd of the total number of players (rounded down to the nearest even number)
2. The number of neutral roles is capped at 1 per 12 total players (or part thereof)
3. The number of good roles (excluding Flogs) is capped at 1/4th of the total number of players (rounded down to the nearest number)
4. The number of Flogs is capped at 1 per 10 total players (or part thereof)

5. The first Villain role will be Ebeneezer Scrooge, the second will be Intimidating Elf, the rest will be random
6. The first Bandit role will be Hans Gruber, the second will be Wet Bandit Harry, the rest will be random
7. The neutral roles will all be random.
8. The first good role will be Santa Clause, the second will be Vixen, the third will be Buddy, the rest will be random
POTENTIAL ROLE LIST
Villain (Mafia) Roles
(get a factional kill each Night Phase that cannot be blocked)
- Ebeneezer Scrooge - Night immune to kills; Seers as if they are a Reindeer; Gets one seer each Night Phase
- The Grinch - Takes over as Ebeneezer if he is killed
- The Abominable Snowman - Blocks another player's action each Night Phase (cannot target the same player in consecutive Night Phases)
- Intimidating Elf- Forces a player to only post in a certain way during the next Day Phase, but cannot dictate who to vote for (Intimidation will need to be fair, at the moderator’s discretion)
- Evil Elf - No powers, but part of the Villain faction
Bandits (Werewolves) Roles
(get a factional kill each Night Phase that cannot be blocked)
- Hans Gruber - Night immune to kills; Seers as if they are a Reindeer; Gets one seer each Night Phase
- Mai Linh - Takes over as Hans Gruber if Hans Gruber is killed
- Wet Bandit Marv - No powers, but the Bandits get an extra kill in the Night Phase following their death (that cannot be Roleblocked)
- Wet Bandit Harry - Secretly changes someone's vote in the next Day Phase to a player of their choosing
- Granville Sawyer - No powers, but part of the Bandits faction
Neutral Roles
- Krampus (Serial Killer) - Night immune to kills; Seers as if they are a Reindeer, Gets one kill each Night Phase
- Pennywise (Jester) – Seers as Pennywise; Does not count when calculating the Villain/Bandit win conditions.
- Carlisle Cullen (Head Vampire) - Seers as if they are a Villager; Can recruit (up to 3 more Vampires) OR kill each Night Phase; Recruited Vampires retain their night actions, but their win condition changes to the Vampire’s win condition; Once the Head Vampire is killed, the Vampires can no longer recruit, but can still kill one player each Night Phase
- Evil Vixen (Evil Doctor) - Is given a list of players in the Villain/Bandit factions, but doesn’t know their exact role; Can protect a player from kill actions each Night Phase (cannot target the same player in consecutive Night Phases); Does not count when calculating the Villain/Bandit win conditions.
Good Roles
- Santa Clause (Jack Of All Trades) - Can either Kill, Protect, Roleblock or Seer a player each Night Phase (must use all the actions once before using an action again and can't use the same action on consecutive nights)
- Drunken Elf (Town Drunk) - MUST target someone each night, but their target will be randomly targeted with either a Kill, Protect, Roleblock or Seer action
- Dancer (Vigilante) - Can kill a player each Night Phase
- Vixen (Doctor) - Can protect a player from kill actions each Night Phase (cannot target the same player in consecutive Night Phases)
- Nurse - Replaces the Doctor if the Doctor is killed (cannot target the same player in consecutive Night Phases)
- Prancer (Bodyguard) - Choose a player to protect each night; If that player is targeted with a kill action, Bodyguard dies instead and so does the person who targeted them (or the lowest rung of the faction who targeted them, excluding any Night Immune or protected roles) (cannot target the same player in consecutive Night Phases)
- Buddy - Can seer a player each Night Phase; Always gets the true result; Does not know if they are the true or fake seer and cannot seer themselves
- Fake Buddy - Can seer a player each Night Phase; Always gets a randomised false result; Does not know if they are the true or fake seer and cannot seer themselves.
- Ms Frizzle (Bus Driver) - Chooses two players to switch at night, so any actions targeted on one player will instead be targeted at the other (and vice versa)
- Comet (Bomb) - If killed overnight, the person who killed them (or the lowest rung of the faction who killed them, excluding any Night Immune or protected roles) dies as well - cannot reveal their role or will be modkilled
- John McClane (Sniper) - Gets a one-off Day kill
- Donner (Mayor) - Their lynch vote each Day Phase is worth two votes
- Rudolph (Local Celebrity) - Due to their popularity, starts each Day Phase with minus one (-1) lynch votes
- Mrs Clause (Saint) - If lynched, the first person to have voted for them in that Day Phase also dies
- Mrs Clause' Twin (Doppelganger) – Chooses a player on Night 1 (in a PM) and if that player dies, takes over their role; Sees as doppelganger until takes over someone else’s role and then seers as that role
- Dasher, Cupid, Blitzen (Flogs) - Shares a PM with the other Flogs; Share a number (equal to the number of Flogs) of randomised one-off actions (kill/protection/seer/roleblock) to use in any Night Phase
- Reindeer (Villagers) - Have no powers
Amulet (The Golden Wreath)
The Golden Wreath may be included in the game, and if so:
- It will be randomly allocated to a player at the starts of the game
- The holder of the Golden Wreath will be protected from ALL Night Phase actions and the next day’s lynch (the next highest vote-getter will be lynched instead)
- It must be passed on before the Day Phase deadline
- It can only be passed onto someone else in a PM (Villains/Bandits/Flogs) once
- If not passed on before the Day Phase deadline, it will be randomly re-allocated to another player
- It will explode at a randomised pre-determined time and day, killing the golden wreath holder
