Armfield plays wing or HBF and never playing defensivly, i remember when he was killing us of the wing last year in round 6

You have absolutely no idea. Please tell me how keeping Pearce to his quietest game of the season and Byrnes to his lowest possession tally since 2006 is 'never playing defensively.'
I don't recall him ever playing a purely attacking role.

You obviously don't remember very well then.
Armfield is not a winger, never has been and never will be.
He is a defender. He runs through the middle at times because he sets up plenty of attacks from the backline. That doesn't make him a midfielder.

Armfield has been named in Carlton's best a few times already this year and also hasn't played all games due to injury. Coming along nicely.

The abiltly to read the game and execute any of the fundamental skills beyond an elimentary level. He can run quick though.
If you're looking for a winger then I take Clinton Young as Army is a defensive specialist.
If you're going for the better player then you have to take Army every single time. It's not even close. Young will be lucky to be in the comp in a couple of years time while if Army continues at his rate of development will be a candidate for the All-Australian team.
I honestly can't believe how quickly Army has developed. He still needs a lot of work on his disposal (it's honestly cringe / close your eyes worthy at times) but the rest of his game has come together so well that he is one of the most damaging small to medium defenders in the comp (thus far this year).

It is very humorous, however, when morons such as yourself continue to think that they have any idea what they are talking about. Go back to the Hawthorn board where rumour and innuendo, and performances from a few years back continue to outweigh facts based on current performances.

I was just pointing out Armfield's limitations. FWIW I think Young shanks way too many kicks. Just quietly - Dal Santo - 68%, Bartel 69%. < Armfield. see above.
OK I jumped in the deep end, Armfield kicks the ball better than Montagna (67%) and reads the play like Hodge.

This is just idiotic.
Armfield has displayed absolutely nothing to suggest he'll be an All Australian. Also why would Young not be in the league in a few years time? He's just coming back from injury and hasn't lost his pace or kicking ability so is still a reasonable, if not high class, winger. Also most damaging small to medium defender? Geez watch a few other teams.
Comparing him to Simpson would also be a waste of time as Simpson is all over him and would have a claim to an All Australian spot.
