Yeah, one parent devoted close to 20 years serving the Club, assisting in delivering multiple successes and always performing at an elite level.
The other has under-delivered on the elite and the successful aspects stated above.

One offspring has shown she is the best in the competition multiple times, as well as elite in other sports for a very long period, and earns a spot within the Club.
The other is an unknown quantity, over a short time span. They may - or may not - be top of the class in what they do, who knows?

Are people right to merely ask the question of the latter as to their suitability for a role? I think so.

That doesn't involve cheap shot pillorying of said person, at least until it can be proved one way or the other whether the role is deserved, or merely flagrant nepotism.
I agree that any anger directed at Jordan is misguided, but Ken and the club admin are fair game.

I'm not angry at Jordan at all. What kid wouldn't jump at the opportunity he's been given.

My anger is that the nepotism around the Hinkley clan is a sign of how unprofessionally the club is run and the lengths the club will go to to keep such an unsuccessful coach happy.

If it's true that Hinkley pays his son's wage, then it's fair to assume he's not the best candidate for the job and should be nowhere near our footy dept.
So Jordie is employed so that Kenny can wage split and get the advantage of the tax free threshold twice and more of his income in a lower tax bracket. Honestly didn't think Ken was that smart.

Not sure if that is legal under current taxation law.

Income splitting is a practice aimed at avoiding higher income tax rates by sharing the income paid for the personal efforts and skills of a taxpayer with another associate or family member who did not put in substantially or the same effort to earn that income

Just * off back to Puglia you bum

Richo: Rucci, Bigfooty are saying we are making mistakes not playing a recognised Ruck.

Rucci: Leave it with me Richo. Your mouthpiece is here for you.

Sean Darcy was 'reasonably' handy for Freo on Sunday:rolleyes:

Brilliant mind to not play a recognised ruck is what they are saying

The same Brilliant™ Mind™ that will bring Lycett back in after one, lacklustre, SANFL outing.

Brilliant mind to not play a recognised ruck is what they are saying
It's the single most ridiculous article they've ever posted, it's at the point where you wonder who they're actually trying to convince about not playing a ruckman.

Anyone with half a footy brain knows you play a ruckman. For the midfield, the option out of defence, to keep your forward structure, to negate the opposition ruckman, help out in defence a kick behind the play etc the list goes.

But not at Port Adelaide. Here we get ridiculous articles debating the merit of ruckman, to justify a moronic selection decision. It's ludicrous.

Also for Rucci can he name a Premiership side that didn't have a recognised ruckman? Not a second ruckman like Grigg at Richmond in their run, but a Premiership side that lined up without a recognised ruckman. I'll wait cause there isn't one.
