westcoasteagles

Actually, we've done well incorporating 1870 and our AFLW team in there.

I could be wrong, but 'We Exist to Win Premierships' seems to have vanished, wasn't it part of the Twitter handle?
Now it's a more generic statement.

Can't see it on the website anymore either.

Its been wiped from the website also.

Search for "motto" or "exist" and it only shows up in news articles now.

I mean, it is a pretty embarrassing motto for a club which has a premiership strike rate of less than 4 a century in the league it currently plays in.
New motto ..

'Playing footy' is just gross. Corporate pandering stuff.

Just call yourself an official account, like every other club. but I guess we see extra 'engagement' on socials as an alternative to winning games.

I’d love to hear the thinking behind it. I mean someone thought of it so what’s the rationale.

Next level engagement. I’m sure the guys running the BBTB page were over the moon to finally be able to talk KFC with the club.

Yummy yummy in my tummy (relatable language) EATING EMOJI

"Playing footy since 1870" is about as generic and weak a statement as you could make.

****ing idiots who have no idea what they're doing.

Wanting to win premierships is offensive to all other clubs, hence we need to drop it.
What matters is that we participate (particularly when a new TV deal is being negotiated).

I'm one angry thought away from deleting my BigFooty account now.
I'll go make lunch and consider it.
