I think we really need good mids 22-26 bracket
Highmore is a no from me, reminds me of Kelly with brain farts but worse disposal
Haha confirms my postJesus Christ, did you see that kick? Yikes.
AFL trade news: Grundy tipped to play elsewhere in 2023
“My mail from a number of sources now is that he will not be at Collingwood next year.”www.zerohanger.com
Grundy won’t be at the pies according to Rockliff.
Ordered my 2013 escargot calendar and it still hasn't shown upWhen my mail arrived…opened…was full of snails

I’ve never really paid attention to him but tonight he’s been very very poor by foot/ decision making. 77% doesn’t seem right to me he’s made some howlers. Granted only one game I’ve really paid attention to him. He’s decent in air.I haven't been watching the game but it's in the 3rd quarter and Highmore has 13 disposals, 6 intercept possessions at 77% disposal efficiency. To be fair 3 turnovers. That's not a bad game. Those intercept numbers are big for this stage of the game.
Cox is 31 so potentially one big injury from being done. DC has been great, but is a different ruckman compared to Grundy. People are quick to forget how influential Grundy is, even when he is not at full flight.
If we're 'losing' him (we're not), it's a gun player and a top 5 pick. Who will pay that and his salary?
I'll back Brodie in to get back to his best.
We def short on KPP, but nobody could have predicted roughy being forced into retirement, and then losing two KPP we bought in in kreuger and dean. Just a perfect storm. Hell even Johnson was seriously pressing for selection before his bloody half a season hammyWe got completely wrecked in the middle today. I like what Cameron and Cox are doing but they have weaknesses that Grundy doesn't have. Also see how light we are with keys. Mihocek down and no Moore and we had very little answer to their talls.
I think we need to be looking at clubs where a squeeze is on (both in terms of cap and competition for spots) - like GWSDavies-Uniake is out-of-contract.

Players won’t leave Nth
They’ll have the money for those that are a bit reluctant - the others will want to see it through
Maybe there’ll be a case where a player becomes disheartened and goes home interstate - but I doubt if their players would leave to a cross-town rival
I think today underlined why we are after McStay. As I said earlier, one reason is he is gettable. Don't waste time on pipe dreams. If Mihocek has a shocker we look light on for a contested mark.Mate I have the utmost respect for Graeme Wright and I understand he knows more…..But this McStay thing is doing my head in. His numbers do not warrant 5 years at 600. I really hope he stays in Brisbane.
Totally agree, we are so thin for key talls obviously. A fit Kreuger (and hopefully has better luck in 2023) add McStay if he comes to us.I think today underlined why we are after McStay. He also offers versatility. Today he could have gone back or even pinch hit in the ruck. With a fit Krueger we have 3 very mobile, marking targets inside 50.
No point. Paying him $300k at Club X is a bad idea. Risky to say the least.

Literally every stat huh?
If you think any other club would choose Taranto over De Goey as a pure footballer I'd suggest it's time to get off the pot.
Quite baffling people think Grundy is the solution to this problem when we should be investing in better midfielders.Quite baffling to me how people can watch opposition mids waltz out of the middle to get a clearance without getting tackled, and then turn around and ramble about how we’re better off without Grundy.

That comes at the cost of Cox’ and Cameron’s marking prowess around the ground. It’s not worth the trade off and we’re better trading Grundy for currency to get us a gun onballer. He’s an upgrade to fix the solution however
This is obvious
