Grundy to us is a no brainer too.Tom Mitchell for cheap is a no brainer, better than any other inside mids we've got.
Hopper would be immense but it has just been Geelong Geelong and nothing but Geelong so I just can't see it happening.
Once again you’re working on the assumption that Cox will be more than depth next year. It’s unlikely that we play him, Cameron, McStay, Checkers and AJ in the same team. From those players Cox is the likely out, so you’d be basing it solely on replacing Cameron down the road, and it’s unlikely that a player in the cusp moving for more opportunity will want to wait that long to replace the incumbent ruck.
We always seem late to the partyThe early bird catches the worm, very very rarely does the late interest win out.
Yeah, I’m in the lets not get sucked into topping up with a 29 year old midfielder because we think we are a…………..29 year old midfielder away from winning a flag. He’s cooked.
I’m certain there’s nothing in it other than a journo putting our name for a headline
“Collingwood being alerted” isn’t us making a move.
Stay away from him.
Mitchell that is
How is Tom Mitchell not a big name midfielder?
If you're jazzed at the idea of Tom Mitchell then sucked in! Not happening kids.
What if McStay is in the backline thoughOnce again you’re working on the assumption that Cox will be more than depth next year. I tend to agree, but I doubt we go down that path with Cox on the wrong side of 30Cameron vs Cox as number 1 ruck imo Cox wins.
As fwd come 2nd ruck then it's Cameron.
What if McStay is in the backline though
Why would we be recruiting Frampton if the intent is to play McStay in defence? I think it’s time to let that one go.What if McStay is in the backline though
Howe is nearly finished and Murphy is one concussion away from being finished. Frampton is not proven. Why would we be recruiting Frampton if the intent is to play McStay in defence? I think it’s time to let that one go.
Frampton, Dean, McMahon are speculative although I hope are all pushing hard for best 22 that is the best possible outcome. If we do trade Grundy and have pick 13 and 14 you would think a developing key forward would be good especially with the hesitation we all share about McStay and Kreuger kicking more that 30 goals in a season. And yes McStay might help everyone around him kick more but you would hope he can beat his best of 29 goals in a season. In terms of needs, do we need another young kpd if we recruit Frampton. Frampton, Dean, MacMahon and maybe Kelly is a fair few developing ones. You'd take a best available one, but not another speculative one.
Mate, you’re clutching at straws. Stop grasping at false hope.Howe is nearly finished and Murphy is one concussion away from being finished. Frampton is not proven.
LmaoWho else can see a Tom Mitchell for Henry trade going down?
No rage, just unconvincing that your master plan hinges on acquiring Taranto (a 50/50 at best), McStay, and 3 (more like 2) fringe players.I know your “go to” is to lose it when anyone considers letting go of Grundy but maybe have a deeper read of what I said without the rage goggles on
It hurts, but I can sone thing like itWho else can see a Tom Mitchell for Henry trade going down?
Agree My learnings from not having Grundy in the side is that Cox is better than Cameron at the ruck contests. Cameron and say McStay would not be a viable option imo. Unless we had the mids to shark the opposition's taps... Which we don't.Cameron vs Cox as number 1 ruck imo Cox wins.

It's a fairly big if, and is entirely dependent on Brodie giving the ok to any move. What master plan?
Those are the players linked to us and all I said was that if getting all them (as well as re-signing De Geoy) is the result of/possible because of letting go of Grundy, then I’m ok with it
