Pies are on the hunt for an inside mid.

They'd be crazy not too look at Stocker, as much as I think he's a spud. He's got a bit of potential. Free hit too.

I’d take him. I reckon he’ll have a chip on his shoulder and a fresh start might be what he needs.

I need a please explain on their salary cap. Geelong and Carlton too, for that matter.
I think Richmond’s make sense. They’re doing an us in 2018, aging riewoldt, Prestia, Cotchin, Martin, Lynch etc. sign taranto/hopper etc to 6-7 year deals and worry about it when the first 5 have retired.

I’m all for it but the success is in whether you get a flag or not, we didn’t hence the disaster we had in the 2020 off season! When you’ve already got 3 in the bank though probably doesn’t matter

Geelong on the other hand, I prefer not to speak

From Talking Carlton it was said by one poster:

"Stocker has a poor attitude and had most players off side. Overweight. Voss tried everything but he wouldn't change. Waste of talent."

So Tom Browne reckons Richmond are going to try and get BOTH Taranto and Hopper.

Would be nice if we could land one of them. I’m not sure how I feel about mcstay or frampton. Haven’t seen much of hill or Mitchell to comment enough but the fact that Mitchell is nearly 30 concerns me a bit…. Surely the two GWS boys would be more ideal?

What's the go with stocker? Blues fans talk about him like the second coming once he moves into the middle. Surely worth a look as a DFA or SSP pick?

Has had some mental health issues and apparently has some application issues, little overweight and won't put the work in.

This could be a reflection of him as a person or the environment he's in.

I'd be on the phone with his manager asap and having a sit down to see where his head is at.

We're screaming out for inside midfielders
A free hit at a once very talented junior player.
Still young enough to break bad habits.

Maybe Fly and Co can tap into that.

I’d back Fly to get him right

I would be massively keen on bringing Stocker in. While it was only VFL level, I was really impressed watching him in that final against our VFL side. He is really strong over the footy and is physical with decent foot skills.

Stocker, Hill and Frampton all look like low cost options to fill positional weaknesses for us and provide really strong depth.

McStay is coming in, and it is looking like the final list piece is to either keep Grundy or to offload Grundy and use the freed up cap space to bring in a midfielder.

Is Mitchell locked in? I see the Hawks board has made no mention and a saw a twitter feed on Essendon chasing him.
I’d be willing to guess Mitchell or whoever for that matter, would be reluctant to go to Essendon until they get their house back in order off the field.

This is Liam Stocker, positive attitude on display.
Good sign for potential suitors.
