Hang on a minute, Mitchell is a pure inside mid, that’s not the role Nick will ever be used for. If anything they compliment each other. We need another extractor in the guts to feed it out to our classy users, whether it’s Mitchell or someone else. Using Nick as a reason to not recruit Mitchell, or any other inside mid for that matter, makes no sense.

I think Mitchell would actually be an excellent complementary player for Nick (and Josh, Lipinski, Sidebottom, and Pendles). Clean hands and a nose for the footy

Losing Grundy and Henry for McStay 700k and Bobby Hill is acceptable to you? With the players available this trade period, that's an enormous failure. Other clubs will be improving next year while Collingwood at best will be slightly worse with ageing stars not being replaced and young talent leaving or just mediocre.

How many of us have actually spoken with the people we claim to have? It normally ramps up about now but at least one poster per page claims they have spoken to their [INSERT NAME AND LINK HERE] friend or their friend of a friend said or their mail is. I doubt anywhere near as many players would be as loose lipped as some claim they are nor would their friends be so forthcoming with information.

There are some on here - Apex and Jen - who have quite legitimate links that are consistently proven correct (and I'm sure there are others). Honestly, take some lessons from the tabloids and get better fictional sources so at least sounds plausible.

Wow that's pessimistic. Still time for Macrae, tough midfield to break into this year and has been doing very well at the lower level. VFL team of the year nomination. Signed up for next year already. If he's still struggling to get a game at this time next season then this claim may have some merit; until then too early to make this call. He is still only 20yo.

How is Henry a bust? Was the best available at that pick (wasn't expected to be there) and has shown a lot already (in glimpses) at the level. AJ has taken his spot and his form has been keeping him out. If he decides to leave/take the coin from somewhere else we will make it work and get compensated. He is also only 20yo and may still be a Pie come next year. Once again not sure how this a bust?

At the reported price for Taranto and Hopper I for one am happy for them to land at the Tigers and for them to sell their soul to get there. Losing most of their top picks for the next 2 years reeks of desperation to avoid their inevitable slide.
