Can you please point to this psychological consensus? Because last time I checked, ADHD isn’t a mental health issue, it’s a psychological disorder, much like Autism. And it is classed as a learning disability. So you’re wrong on both fronts on this one.

A mental health issue or a mental illness are just colloquially used terms that refer to mental health challenges that people face. Theoretically an individual could experience debilitating mental health issues but not meet criteria for a specific mental health disorder. The DSM changes diagnostic categories every few years, so the criteria are always shifting and evolving. Some peer reviewed journals have now refused to accept research that uses DSM or ICD diagnostic categories because they have poor validity but in clinic practice they do have some utilities (ie they describe a common cluster of symptoms between health professionals). In regards to neuro developmental disorders such as ADHD and ASD there is contention about whether they should be viewed as neuro developmental disorders (ie an illness) or as neuro-divergent personality types (ie ASD and/or ADHD provide individuals with adaptive cognitive benefits in the right environments - eg someone with ADHD might be an exceptional Hunter or pioneer). This is a little bit political and there probably won’t be consensus on this for a long time. So disorder, illness, issue, challenge etc are often used interchangeably. People can disagree with the use of language and that’s why it is always evolving.

Plenty of bargains to be had this year with players wanting out for one reason or another or delisted.
I like the Tom Mitchell rumour for a 3rd rounder, exactly what we need and he’s still quality for what he does.
Another I can’t get my head around is Aaron Francis, every time I’ve seen him play he’s shown plenty but seems out of favour. I’d take him cheap definitely, from what I remember he’s a real confidence player and he’d have every chance in our system.
If not Mitchell we could go for a Matt Crouch as well, good player he is.
As for the ones we’re getting, McStay I hated the idea and I mean hated it until it occurred to me he’ll be used in a Leigh Brown role, he’s insurance for when Cox retires after next year and Begg comes on and eventually takes over. In that regard it’s smart business, maybe McStay hasn’t been used properly? I think that may be the case or are we getting a Darcy Cameron clone on 600k.
Time will tell but the other ones, Bobby Hill I don’t rate at all and I don’t see the need for his position. I hope he don’t cost too much and as for Frampton I have no idea so won’t comment.

If Fiorini is such a hot prospect…why can’t he can’t get a game for a middle of the road team?
Would you play him ahead of GC’s young developing mids? I and many others were guilty of saying the same thing about Brodie last year.

If Lyon is such a hot prospect. Why can't he. If Brody is such a hot prospect, why can't he... If Wright is such a hot prospect, why can't he?
Some players blossom at better clubs, I remember Leigh brown couldn't get a game at North and Collingwood threw him a lifeline, a couple of years later clubs were looking for the type of player that played his role.

Saw this on extreme black n white
We need four things...
1. Another defender to release Moore
2. Another KPF to create a real contest
3. A magical small forward at his feet
4. Another clearance mid

I reckon it's spot on and it looks like we're aiming to do a budget version of that
1. Frampton
2. McStay
3. Hill
4. Fiorini

If we are losing Grundy but can get Logue and the 4 above it's not all bad.
I wonder how our best 22 would look next year. Those four could definitely add something to our side but I don’t think we have 4 obvious outs.

If Fiorini is such a hot prospect…why can’t he can’t get a game for a middle of the road team?
It's pretty simple. Fiorini can play only in the middle. Suns prefer Anderson, Rowell, Davies, Hollands as their future and Miller, Swallow in the middle. Bowes and Flanders also waiting in a queue.

Girl Why Dont We Have Both GIF

We can quickly generate the list space if we lose Chugg, Brown x2, Madgen, Kelly, and Grundy (?). The last name probably being the key to it all with how much extra coin we'd be operating with.
The issue would be how do we get both across and fit them in the 22? I don’t think either would move to be depth.

Most clubs play with roughly 4 inside midfielders in a side as part of the rotation. Nobody is displacing Rowell, Anderson and Miller. They will be a formidable trio. David Swallow is the other mid that starts at centre bounces and plays mostly guts, as he's a hardened body and very experienced player relative to the rest of the team. Fiorini as the 5th choice inside mid - like Brodie before him - can't solidify a spot as he doesn't offer much by way of flexibility. He's a midfielder only. The Suns understandably prefer to play more versatile players like Hollands, Weller, Flanders and Davies to complement their inside midfielders.

Gold Coast have crazy good inside midfield depth, whereas we have little to none, meanwhile we have great second and third touch mids (Daicos, Sidebttom, Crisp, Lipinski etc). Fiorini appears to be a very affordable first possession winner who can win the ball for the next few in the possession chain.

What is he worth, trade wise? 4th rounder? A tube of Dencorub?
No idea. My guess future 2-3rd (Suns got academy kids coming in next year). I don't think Suns want to get rid of him especially now when they saved money with Rankine leaving. I suspect Suns will be happy to arrange trade if he asks but I would say it's a bit different situation compared to Brodie. He is a first class citizen and loves it on GC. Just not in the best 22 with a healthy list. He will get great numbers in the middle and definitely better tank than Brodie. Personally, I value Fiorini over Brodie.

Fiorini is a name myself and others have mentioned on this trade forum for years now

But for a mid who has mostly been used on the outside in the AFL … his disposal efficiency remains poor when compared to a similar mostly outside player in Lipinski

That being said.. overall he is an upgrade on the brown boys so long as we don’t pay anything beyond pick 40 🤷‍♂️

I would definitely not play Fiorini outside. Just inside and dish out the ball outside. Yeah, not great disposal, kick but he is smart, understand the game.

Hmm… not buying into it. I’d rather use my 2nd rounder on a Brownlow medallist with another 3-4 years in him.

Unlikely you’ll get a second for a player who’s leaving for more opportunity. Future 3rd sounds about right, similar currency to Lipinski.
