Kinda naive and short sighted to assume Cloke will never again play anywhere near his best.

In a more skilled side under a coach he legitimately likes, Cloke will smash it. He will borderline deliver the Dogs a flag. If that's only worth a 3rd rounder, everyone needs their heads examined. Don't take Cloke's last few season with us as any indication of what he will produce at the Dogs.

Sorry but couldn't disagree more. Cloke won't play 30 games at the dogs over those two years. He will end up VFL playing and wishing he had stayed at the pies. If Beveridge drops Stringer on form and ethic then Cloke won't play more than a dozen games in a row before stinking it up or not working hard enough and getting dropped for it. He's especially cooked when they get Redpath back in 2018, putting last in the pecking order. That's why dogs will pay no more than a late 30's pick for him...

I disagree with you. A forward line of Cloke, Crameri, Stringer & Boyd are as good as anyone's. Cloke will thrive there I reckon. It's all very well to point out one bad season but I reckon we wrecked his confidence. Looking at the games he played against GWS & even against the Hawks in the last round makes me think he will be a steal for them. We will definitely be making a rival club stronger & apparently getting sweet FA for it. Don't like it.

Poor old Darcy Moore. Will have to take the best defender it seems but will smash it I think. We sure do make it difficult for ourselves.

Lol @ virtually giving Cloke away. The brain dead administrators at he club strike again. Do these blokes actually get paid for making decisions like this? I guess Buckley wants him gone no matter what. So our forward line will be Moore and Cox?

Edit: and White in forward line.........

Say we sign Wells, where does Aish or Crisp play?

Centers: Sidebottom, Adams, Wells
Followers: Grundy, Pendlebury, Treloar

I think Greenwood is the next in line for a midfield spot due to being a designated run with player.

Sidebottom can play half forward but why would you do that when he has proven to be a far superior midfield player to either Aish or Crisp.

Aish was tried as a half forward in the 1st half of the year and wasn't great and eventually got demoted to VFL.
He played his best footy as a wingman and I think if we recruit Wells he will probably take his spot. Likewise for Jack Crisp. With Greenwood now Bucks designated run with player, Crisp played more outside this season. He is another that may struggle to get midfield minutes. And you can forget about developing De Goey's midfield game. No chance he gets any minutes, if Wells is on board, unless it is spent in VFL all year.

Aish was playing crap cos he was overthinking where he was supposed to be rather than relying on his natural ability to read the game and his skills.

Wells will squeeze someone out, possibly even Blair. Players in the midfield will rotate through the forward line. Whoever underperforms will be dropped.

Buck off! Promote the General! #17

I reckon Varcoe across half back, and Sidebottom spends more time as a forward.

What's he worth?

Hereafter to be known as Glovegate. Post glove returned to some ordinary form.

He might help the Dogs, but really what the Dogs have shown is that their system is supreme, their list is deep and good. If they can win without Crameri or Stringer, they can without Cloke too. Be interesting to see how he goes, but he'll be a bit part player from now on.

Cloke was dropped after nine mark game when we butchered half our forward entries. He's papers were stamped.

Post glove he was still clunking marks, just our delivery was shit to him when it came to kicking inside 50, especially the Richmond game.

What a load of shit. He's been an abomination which is why almost no-one else is interested in him in the league.

Apart from Shaw these guys have been pretty good at trading out guys who subsequently perform poorly.

Apart from Shaw, who else do you want back.

Half the posts bagging Cloke is a load of shit. He got papers stamped early and was unfairly dropped during the year. Just another player Buckley couldn't be ****ed dealing with. But unlike Shaw, Lumumba, Wellingham and Dawes where we played them and got good returns this time the Buckley drops him so by the end of the year when he wants out we get SFA and left with White and Moore in the forwardline.

Wellingham, Beams and Lumumba. Beams was in great from post injury. Played about 17 games and won the bnf. The other two aren't world beaters but are best 22 players in sides better than ours. Would give some much needed run and carry.

Its not a case of wanting back. It seems we keep destroying players confidence and trade them for jack shit. Cloke is better than what hes shown throughout the year.

Nonsense. Go back and look at how people rated his games early on. Has been absolutely woeful. And it's not Collingwood perception or Bucks any gameplan theory - opposition fans and coaches see it plain as the nose on your face.

Which is why he's not generating interest despite being: cheap, a KPF, younger than Wells who has a history of injuries and a high price tag. Delivery! So all the mids are getting it wrong, Cloke's in the right spot, everyone else got the directions wrong.

Wellingham and Lumumba :drunk:

One has fallen off a cliff, and the other is one head knock away from retirement.

Got Varcoe for Lumuba, Grundy for Wellingham and Adams for Shaw.

I consider those 3 resounding wins, definitely not jack shit.

I think none of these guys would get games in our best 22 - so they were traded out appropriately.
Sadly Beams will not get back to his best with his injuries.

Fallen of the cliff lol, he's best 22 for a side that has been making finals and made the grand final last year.

Lumumba pre concussion was best 22 for a side better than ours and would give us much needed run and carry.
