Indeed. Can't be bothered doing a subjective look myself on our drafting between 2010 - 2013 and adding the injured lot currently on the list to compare. FS and injury would be part of that figure - so some luck involved.

Certainly didn't hurt that they had 2 father/sons in Libertore and Mitch Wallis in the same year as one of the really heavily compromised drafts. 2010, I think. Both were rated as 1st rounders and I think Footscray got them with a late 1st and a later 2nd round pick. Few teams outside GC, had early picks that year.

He's a half forward flank/midfielder. We have enough of those. Our list needs are KPP and a small forward.

Yep agree with all that and in fact makes my point of the 53% 'success rate' being the best, even more startling.

No. I was just addressing the idea that he could be treated as a Free Agent. I don't believe there is any possible way it can happen. Has to be a trade

The clubs could agree to surrender his contract. It's easy to do and the AFL is irrelevant to the matter. There is just no reason for the club to do it.
