If we can get a reasonable pick for Witts, how about offering that to the Cats for Motlop?

Seems like Motlop could be acquired on the cheap (draft pick wise). Varcoe, Wells and Motlop in the one line up would be juicy!

Anyway, Wells and Mayne are FA which, with the salary surplus created by offloading Cloke and the omission of a certain Nathan F last year, would be a good and cheap replacement for the retirees that left this year.

Am I the only one that would like to see Hamish Hartlett running off the half-back flank? Always thought he was reasonably talented.
Not sure what he'd cost us though.

Would love to get him but cost would be too high.
Would be more than handy if we could put him on a wing and get Wells on the other wing.
Allows us to play Sidebottom off half forward.
