I can not confirm or deny DeGoey's off field antics but I first heard of them back in 2015, from a random who at the same time had absolutely no reason to lie. We both agreed that it's nothing out of the ordinary but it might be a bit early to get this rep at 19 years of age.

It's no secret I reckon he went way too early in the draft and this isn't the usual first hand bit of mail that I post once in a blue moon, so take it for what it is.
I'll go even further and say I'm not all that fussed about it, these things usually sort themselves out one way or another.

Between Cloke ($800k), Frost ($250k), Witts ($300k), Toovey ($300k), Macaffer ($250k) and possibly Williams ($250k) how much in cap space are we shedding? I took a guess in brackets.
That's pretty close to $2m in cap space.
Not even including Swanny's retirement.

Now we will almost certainly re-jig and front load contracts to take up the space, however at the very least on isolation, bringing in Wells and WHE for the above departures, it actually is good business.
I'm starting to warm more to Wells' pending inclusion.
Mayne- meh.
I still think there is something going on with the Mayne deal! The fact that freo needs 2nd round picks for Hill, McCarthy and kirsten I feel we have something going with freo, giving Mayne a contract that is obviously overs, but having cap room to frontend it will give freo possible 2nd rd compo pick which would probably get Hill, not sure what we would get for the help maybe future pick or pay overs in a Williams trade not sure it just seems convenient!

I hope De Goey stays. Maynard and De Goey are the same age as me. So I'm keen to see their careers through. Not sure how I would feel if he left, I remember Crying man tears when Beams left. I cry boy tears everytime Shaw plays a good game. Pls De Goey, pls De Stay.

You cannot confirm or deny and yet you stick your oar in with totally random "information"

Do us all a favour and just do not post stuff that some random guy tells you. Really. some random guy told you something and you just thought this is vitally correct information.

Going to have to disagree with you unfortunately, him confirming on his twitter account his nickname is 'Googs' is eye opening.. not to mention his profile pic of him at a party..
All I can say is wow.

I'm going to be so annoyed if Richmond end up getting a second round pick for Vickery.
Essentially that makes our second round pick 26(right behind theirs). Knowing bloody Richmond they'll probably recruit the only bloke we want.
Worst part about this: Neil Balme would have all our bloody inside info.
Smh. This is only gonna end badly.

In what world is Vickery worth a 2nd. If Vickery is worth an 2nd. Then cloke is worth pick 1

Hannerbery was a big time party bloke around the same age, the exact same rumours were said about him, I have no idea if he pulled his head in or not but his a star, I couldn't give two shits what he does off field.

It's all about support and education if DeGoey can't atleast pull his head in let's just say during regular season, (alot hit it hard on the break) that says a lot about the Collingwood environment in my opinion.

In 2 years De Goeys gone from "I'll do anything for you" or whatever he said to Bucks on stage draft night.
To "off the rails".
Part of me thinks its just young blokes having fun, the other part of me thinks where there's smoke there's fire.
