I think he's surname probably gives a clue on how the name came about
I didn't really need to add this "" to the post did I?

Have a mate whose nickname is Smacker.
Don't think he uses heroin.
Agree on KeeffeKeeffe better than him so no biggy. Need to keep Brown and add atleast 1 of Logue, Maibaum, McCarthy though.
We'd be lucky to get a first rounder for De Goey...he's got poor-average afl form.If the De Goey stuff was true, and that's a bit if... I would try trade him and Frost together for Brisbane's pick 2 (or priority pick 3 if they get it). But I doubt it.
e a look at Keefees last season stats...hopefully he can return to that type of form.Agree on Keeffe
I think he'll surprise a few and go ok.
Tall too, really too
Or a year before.Hav

Keeffe is not the answer, IMO. He does have nice ball skills for a big bloke but realistically is too tall to play in defence. In particular, he's too slow to turn when the ball goes over his head and is a liability once the ball hits the ground. Smart forwards will lead him under the ball and then beat him back to it, repeatedly. Get used to seeing plenty of goals out the back if Keeffe's a regular in our backline. Realistically he's ruckman sized but lacks the aggression to play in the ruck. I can't see any AFL-level role for him unless he transforms himself into a key forward but he has zero runs on the board in that role. On balance, I expect he'll replace Witts as a permanent fixture in the VFL team.Keeffe has had two years out of the game, I hope he comes back and plays some really good football, he's had enough time to think about it and prepare for it.

You're one of those guys who reckons JDG is poor to average and Heeney is a superstar aren't you? We'd be lucky to get a first rounder for De Goey...he's got poor-average afl form.
Thanks - great comparison. Heeney attracts attention being in a premium side and having that blonde hair. JDG looks to be tracking very nicelyYou're one of those guys who reckons JDG is poor to average and Heeney is a superstar aren't you?

Only problem with the blokes you just named is that 3 of them have had serious injuries.I think that's a common misconception. As far as second year players I'd say he's outperforming Petracca, McCartin, Pickett (definitely), Brayshaw, etc. Probably everyone except Heeney. People are just too impatient.
Gold Coast just confirmed interest in Witts.
Not really champ, he was like that before he got to the Pies, spoke to a close sports journo mate of mine and was peddling the same info to me which I didn't believe, he was adamant that this was all the talk with JDG and that Pies are looking for a BIG deal only to off load him... stay tune.If he is "off the rails", then it reflects poorly on our club culture.
You do know that "Goey" is also drug slang. You're a long way off if you think having the nickname Googs reflects badly on him.The fact his nickname is Googs probably should have had alarm bells ringing
