Pick 2, 26 and our future 2nd for pick 5 and 7 from the Suns?

What does the super dooper pick index say? Is that about right points wise?

It a long shot. Pretty sure Suns would rather keep 5 and 7.

I think the better trade for both clubs (if the suns are open to it) would be 2 + WC F2nd + Port F2nd (Rioli, which I know is actually less than the 27 we are hoping for this year).

GC can then trade their bundle of 2022 2nd rounders to Brisbane and go in with 2 + 15 this year, and have points accumulated next year for their academy players (our pick will be assumed at around 20, and ports at around 30).

They would have to be super keen on a prospect this year though, otherwise they are better off keeping 5+7.

Jackson averaged 4 more handballs, and 5 less hitouts this year than Williams.

Rest of their stats were the same, and they are very similar in age.

Apparently one is the biggest spud on earth and the other worth pick 2.

Too many people buy into the bullshit hype.

Tugga27 how many of Jackson’s games have you actually seen? Explain why he’s his 4 extra handballs turn him into this magical prospect.

"No way hosa: georgiades for Pick 2 and Rioli
They need picks so Eagles may try to offer up some cattle and flick their 2 for our 8.
We could end with Picks 2 & 19 Compo + Rioli + others (say Shuey, perhasp Gaff).

Well may you laugh but the Eagles are looking to retire or move on; Nic Nait, Luke Shuey and Andrew Gaff"
Obeanie1 got a younger twin over in Adelaide?

I think the Waterman family are OK in it being professional. Alex is player for the Bombers and did not have a problem with that.

Bit of a difference. Jake is a contracted player coming off a career best season.

Alec was a WAFL player who we’d delisted a couple of years prior when he had glandular fever and couldn’t get out of bed let alone play professional sport.

I don't just rate players on stats mate.
I watch the games.

Apart from Williams's last game against Geelong, he was putrid for most of the year. Couldn't mark or kick.

I've seen enough of Jackson to see he has a much higher ceiling.
Not to be unexpected seeing he was a pick 3.

Williams lucky to get a game for mine and might not have if we were fully fit.

I'm not fully keen on trying to get Jackson, but at the moment, they're at a different level.

Comparing them is rather silly IMO.

Williams is actually a decent mark.
You both are correct and the truth is actually somewhere in the middle

The Port board seem unanimous in wanting pick 2 and something more involved in Georgiades, without anything going back the other way.

On what planet do they think he is worth that much? Maybe just pick 2 I can understand (even if I don't agree with it) but they appear adamant in ruling out dealing with their own pick 9 too. Not even the most incompetent recruiting staff would do say pick 2 and Rioli for Georgiades.
meanwhile they're all up in arms about dunkley possibly costing pick 8. tis the season i guess.

Tis the season, but we're also dealing with the SA equivalent of Dockers supporters.

However he's top 10 on out list, and Georgiadis isn't even best 22... the baggage doesn't count if they're putting a 4yr contract in front of him. Rioli is in his prime years. Geogiadis might not even be an AFL best -22 AFL player.

Backwards thinking here?
Take your theory over to the Port board and let us know when you do will be enjoyable to watch

Come on mate, Georgiades played 19 games this year.
That's pretty much in their best side.

Willie might be in his prime years age wise, but to see he looked out of shape and not really interested.

Well have you been to port? I enjoy the Pies steriotypical jokes, with Port it is no joke.

Its good for WC Jackson hasnt nominated Freo as Freo will have their hands full trying to trade out 5-6 players and bring him in and while we can drive up the price in the background..
I’m guessing Jackson has agreed terms and expects to go to either west coast or Freo. He would have said wants to come home to avoid looking like he’s being unreasonable but he’ll be very clear on his expectations to Melbourne

Fitness is a different issue to talent - our whole bl00dy team was unfit all year!

Seriously, Rioli is/was top 10 on our list. Georgiadis would be ~20 on their list. A couple of 3 goal games, a couple of games 8+ marks this season. 2nd round pick at best. Jake Watermans's third season looks more impressive than MG's last year.
I think you're really underrating Georgiades TBH.
Let's agree to disagree on this one.

It seems like Georgiades really doesn’t want to come home anyway, that’s now him, his manager and Rhino who’ve played it down

Also, I don’t think Georgiades is a good pairing with Oscar, that’d a really undersized KP forward line imo

Put aside for a second the question of whether Georgiades theoretically has more trade value.

He plays a position we don’t particularly need, he’s under contract and Port don’t seem keen to offload him.

We’re better off leaving him out of the deal and asking for a draft pick.
